Friends Before College

Filler chapter 2

Jade's pov♧

Carmen is out sick from school and I've been grumpy the entire day,I haven't gotten a good night's sleep in a few days and I skipped breakfast.

And to make things worse sienna has been on my ass the entire day with her snarky comments and her friends giggling at me.

I finally made it to lunch with out an outburst,but I still feel so tired and grumpy.

After eating I tried to take a nap under a tree but only to be woken up by Sienna's friend group.

"What do you want,can't you see I'm trying to get some sleep?" I scoff and she rolls her eyes at me.

"I can't just come see if you were alive? You've been ignoring me the entire day." she pouts.

"For good reason,now move."  I feel myself starting to get pissed.

"Where is that puerto Rican girl you're always with hmm?" one of her friends asks.

"At home now scram." I say getting up and trying to walk away then her boyfriend grabs me by my shirt.

"Oi she's not done talking to you." he huffs.

I punch him in the throat and he drops me to the ground.

"Get her boys." he groans in pain.

"What in the Disney Channel are you talking about?" I question while crossing my arms.

Then I see the football team running  towards me angry.

"Shit." I mumble under my breath.

They charged at me,About Four big buff guys charged at me and tried to jump me.

I manged to hold them off and was able to get in a few punches but not without getting a few bruises,a black eye and a busted lip.

I went home after that,Angry and tired.

When I walked through the door Carmen was on the couch with a big bowl of soup and spider curled up next to her.

"Hey Jade what are you doing home so early,and what happened to your face?" she asked rather concerned as she walked over to me and ran her hand over my bleeding cheek.

I winced in pain,"Sienna's boyfriend and the football team jumped me." I sigh as I throw my bag to the ground.

"I'll call Mason and get him to send some troops down to recruit them,they won't last a day." she says and I smile softly at her.

She drags me to the kitchen table and makes me sit before pulling out the first aid kit.

Her eyes full of love and concern as she wipes an alcohol wipe over my wounds and I hiss at the pain .

"Sorry,I'm almost done babe." she reassures me gently.

She bandages me up and gently kisses my lips.

I grumbled angerly,I still can't believe I got beat up.

"Don't be mad Jade,You weren't expecting it and they were bigger than you." Carmen sighs before getting up and I grovel,she was right but still.

I watched as she put away the first aid kit and then hugged me.

"You shouldn't be taking care of me when you're sick." I sigh and she brushes it off.

"I'll be fine,it's just a cold,You got punched,I rather take care of you." Carmen comforts me.

I pick up Carmen and put her on the couch and cuddle up to her,soon falling asleep in her grasp.
