14. Alive

I woke up to the warmth of Calum wrapped around me. I smiled and turned to wake him. Like usual he was already up. "Cal, that's creepy. Every morning your staring at me!"
"Because you're too beautiful to just sleep next too and not see. So I wake up in the morning and watch my little sunshine sleep until the real one awakens" I blushed a little and smiled. How did I end up here with someone who loves me so much?
"You're really cute when you blush, you know that?" I shook my head slowly and looked up to him. "Well you do"
"And so do you" I pecked him on the lips which caused his cheeks to burn bright red. "I prove my point!" I laughed and he did too.
"I have a question for you"
"Go ahead" he bit his lip a little and looked away.
"Would you like to go on a date with me? Like, tonight?" I had a mini heart attack and I freaked out.
"It's about time." He frowned but I shook my head and hugged him. "I'm kidding Cal! I would love too!" He let out his breath and hugged me back.
"Thank god, cause I already started getting ready"
"Speaking of getting ready, why don't we?" He groaned and nodded.
"Fineeee" he lifted up slowly, with me still wrapped in his arm.
"Let's go do something"
"Hmmm, well Luke was going to come over since he ditched school too." I nodded and thought for a second.
"Movie marathon!!" He smiled and his eyes sparkled in the light.
"I swear you're inside my mind"

I was having such a good time with Calum and Luke. We were already onto out 5th movie when Calum stopped our battle of the movies. "Sorry to end your heated battle but I sorta kinda have a date in two hours with a girl in this room" I almost forgot! Luke perked up and smiled.
"Yep! That's moi!" He laughed in a girly voice and I bursted out too.
"He means me your idiot" I threw a pillow at him and got up. "Love you guys, but I need my girl time before my first date, so good byee!!" I gave them both a quick hug and Calum with a quick kiss which Luke coughed awkwardly at. I reached the door and I realized Calum was following me.
"I can't wait for tonight" I smiled and nodded.
"Me neither. You don't even know" He smiled and gave me a kiss on the head before saying goodbye. I jogged to my car and shot a text to Kayla and she responded in seconds.
G: I have a date with Calum tonight!!!!!! I NEED HELP!!!
K: OMG FINALLY!!!! I'm bringing my dresses!!!!!!
I was at my house by the time she answered and she was already waiting at my door step, with her hands full of dresses.
"Talk about fast transportation!" I laughed and opened the door to let her in. My mom was still at work so we had the whole house to ourselves.
"What can I say, I'm fast." She made a ninja like move which made me burst out laughing.
"Let's see whatcha got" I said as she pulled out the dresses that were tucked under her arm. She pulled out tight fitted ones that looked extremely to skin showing for me. I shook my head at almost all of the ones she picked out.
"Come on. Gwen you have a butt. And I don't, so you have to use it to your advantage!"
"No I don't! Not tonight!" She gave me a disappointed look and nodded her head before picking out a dress. I loved it. It had black onto with a metal belt that followed with a sparkly-looking skirt. Kayla seemed to like it too. "Try it on!!!!!!" She shooed me to the bathroom before I could respond. I sighed and slipped into the surprisingly comfy dress. I loved how it looks on me. Not too slutty but not too innocent. Just like me. I walked into the room and saw a full on makeup set up.
"OMG!!!! You look GORGEOUS!!!!!" She shrieked and sat me down at the chair. "Now it's time for hair and makeup!!!!!" Oh boy.

By the time Kayla was done, i was shocked at how good it was. My face was basically flawless and my hair was in pretty curls, cascading down my back. And she had added a black necklace that finished the look off. And before I knew it, it was time to leave.
"Kayla, thank you soooooooo much!!!!" I went in for a hug but she pulled back sharply.
"Don't ruin the master piece!" I laughed and skipped back to my car. I was completely ready for this date.

"CALUM!!!! Where are we going!?" I asked for what felt like the millionth time.
"Not telling you" he smirked at me. He was wearing a suit that looking amazing on him, and nice dress shoes. We were pretty coordinated, I must say. We had been driving for 30 minutes and my stomach wouldn't shut up. Calum then stopped the car and turned it off. When I looked up, my breath was taken away. You could see everything. The Sydney Oprah house, and all of the cities, lighting up the sky. Calum then opened my door and I got out in awe.
"This is beautiful!!" I gasped as I saw a table set for two with rose petals and champagne on the table. I took my seat and so did he and we just looked back and forth from each tiger to the view in silence. "This is... Amazing. I can't even describe this Cal." And with that the most delicious looking food arrived. I was so happy to see what was on the plate, pizza. I ate three peices in silence and Calum at at least five. That's when I noticed he turned on light music. And all of a sudden he got up and held out his hand.
"May I have this dance?" He asked very gentle manly like and I nodded and got up. We walked to the spot closest to the view and started dancing along to the beat. I couldn't recognize any songs until my favorite turned on. Tenerife Sea, by Ed Sheeran. And just then Calum leaned closely to my ear and started singing softly.
"You look so wonderful in your dress, I love your hair like that. The way it falls in the side of your neck, down your shoulders and back. We are surrounds by all of these lights, and people that talk too much." I could've sworn he planned this song. I listened to kiss soft singing and rested my head on his chest. "This view is beautiful" I whispered.
"Not as beautiful as you" I blushed and looked up too him.
"How did I end up with you?"
"How did I end up with you?" He asked with his eyebrows raised. "You're amazing. In everyday. And damn are you beautiful.. Don't get me started on that. I love all of your little quirky moments and everything in between. And I love you but I never knew you had felt this way too." He looked down and blushed slightly. He had just told me he loved me.
"I love you too" at the moment I felt like this all isn't real, like I was straight out of a fairy tale. I felt fake, but at the same time I felt... Alive.
