Chapter 39

My Woman

IT has been a whole month since Koen and Jaydee first met.

In the weekdays, Jaydee takes care of Koen since I usually have my duty on the weekdays. Weekends naman ako ang nagbabantay kay Koen.

Koen loves spending his night in his father's house though.

My eyes landed on a woman standing in front of Jaydee's table. It was his secretary.

"Here are your plane tickets, Sir. The closest flight will be tomorrow at four in the morning," rinig kong saad ng sekretarya niya.

My eyebrows shot up. Dahan-dahan akong pumasok ng opisina nito. They still haven't noticed me since they were busy talking about the said plane ticket.

Aalis si Jaydee? Hindi niya pa iyon nasasabi sa akin.

"Thank you, Stephanie. You can leave the ticket there," rinig kong sagot pabalik ni Jaydee. "Follow up to the extra workloads I asked for earlier? Were you able to collect them already?" pormal at strikto ang boses nitong tanong.

I stayed near the door of his office.

"Yes, Sir. These are the last remaining paper works that you asked for. I've also collected the files for the upcoming week, to be delivered to you through your email. I also made extra copies for you to bring back to the Philippines," sagot ng sekretarya nito.

The Philippines?

When she turned his back at her boss, her eyes immediately landed on me.

"Good evening, Ms. Park," bati nito.

When the door closed, I looked back at the man behind the desk. He's now standing on his feet, making his way to me. His hands are inside his black pants.

Our eyes immediately met. Naglakad ako palapit sa kanya. "You're going back to the Philippines?" tanong ko sa kanya.

He continued walking to my direction and only stopped when he was inches away from me.

"Kanina ka pa dyan?" His voice was soft, unlike his formal and strict tone earlier.

I had to angle my head just to look up at him. "Enough to learn about your plane ticket at four in the morning," sagot ko.

He took it from me and carried it all the way to his table. Nilapag niya iyon sa swivel chair niya bago muling bumalik sa akin.

He raised his right hand and caressed my hair.
