Like Me The Same
JADE and I walked downstairs together with our belongings in hand. We were already getting ready to head back to the city.
Nauna nang bumalik kahapon sina Andre at Maia. Sila ang kinasal pero sila pa ang naunang umalis. They were so busy, especially Andre that recently inherited the company of his father. He's our new boss now.
Isang malaking travel bag lang ang dinala ko kaya mabilis ko lamang iyong naibaba. Nang makarating kami sa baba ay abala na ang lahat sa pagpasok ng mga gamit nila sa sari-sariling sasakyan.
My eyes immediately searched for someone in the parking lot. I quickly spotted him amidst the crowd, his tall figure making him stand out.
Nag-aayos ito ng gamit niya at pinapasok ang ilang bagahe sa likod ng kulay itim na sasakyan.
I made my way towards him with a small smile on my lips. Nang makalapit ako sa kanya ay mahina ko itong kinalabit sa braso niya.
He quickly looked at my direction. "Hi," I whispered at him with a cheeky smile.
Natawa ito nang marinig ang mahina kong pagbati sa kanya. He looked down at me and his eyes immediately met mine.
Bumagsak ang tingin niya sa bitbit kong gamit. Mabilis niya itong inabot at kinuha mula sa kamay ko. The muscles and veins around his hands flexed upon carrying the heavy bag.
It took a lot for me to focus on his face. "Sabay ka pauwi sa amin?" malambing nitong tanong.
I bit my lower lip to stop myself from smiling too much. "Nope. Kay Tita Olivia ako sasabay kasama si Jade," I answered.
He walked in nearer and leaned down to get closer to me. A smile was plastered all over his plump lips.
Suddenly, I remembered how it felt against mine. I can still taste him on my lips. It was so soft. I feel like I'm already addicted to it even though I only tasted him once.
"Ingat ka," he whispered and gave me a pat on the head. His lips swiftly grazed over my forehead. "Saan yung sasakyan niyo?"
Yung kamay niyang nasa taas ng uluhan ko ay bumagsak na sa likod ko. He was holding me so close to him, but at the same time it felt like he was restraining himself from completely pulling me in.
It took me all of the strength to look away from him and not lean in on his body. Tumingin ako sa gawi ng kung saan naka-park ang sasakyan ni Tita Olivia.
"Over there," I answered and pointed at it.
He let go of me and walked over to Tita Olivia's direction. Ilalagay niya na sana ang mga gamit ko sa likod ng kotse nang bigla siyang kausapin ng isa sa mga kamag-anak ni Andre. He had to stop and look at the man.
Tumigil ako sa gilid nito at nagtago nang kaunti sa likod niya. I took his free hand and softly played with his fingers.
His hand was rough and big. He didn't have any accessories around his fingers. Bracelet lang na mukhang binili niya bilang souvenir ang nakapulupot sa kanyang pulsuhan.
When they were done talking I suddenly felt him intertwine his fingers with mine. Napatingin ako sa kanya at nakitang nakatingin pa rin ito sa taong kausap. He gave the man a nod before it walked away.
Bumagsak ang tingin niya sa akin at mas hinigpitan ang hawak sa kamay ko. "Sorry. Let's go?" he whispered before pulling me towards the car.
Nilagay niya ang gamit ko sa likod ng kotse at agad din namang binitawan ang kamay ko. I had to look at Tita Olivia who's already entering the driver's seat.
