Kirby Run Part one and Two

Part One Chapter Five

"Great job with that fight." Wizard Cookie nodded "What your friends said about you was true, you are very powerful."

Kirby smiled. "Thank you! You guys did great too!"

"I think you even got some exp from that fight!" GingerBrave mentioned.

(Not that it matters.) Kirby joked in his head.

"You all did fantastic! Thank you for saving me!" Elfilin praised, sniffling.

"Oh yeah! GingerBrave, Strawberry Cookie, Wizard Cookie, this is my friend Elfilin!" Kirby introduced.

"Nice to meet you guys!" Elfilin greeted the three cookies, sniffling some more.

Kirby noticed Elfilin was sniffling a lot, and he was flying a little uneasily. Did the Giant Cookievorous Plang drain his energy? If that was it, then why was he sniffling so much?

"Awww you're so cute!!!" Strawberry Cookie complimented Elfilin "You kinda remind me of a roll cake squirrel."

Kirby tilted his head. "What's that?"

"It's a type of animal/creature that inhabits our world." Wizard Cookie told him "Though speaking of creatures," he then turned to the bush that the Giant Cookievorous Plant had been terrorizing "wonder what the monster was trying to attack..."

Just then, the bushes started to rustle, and a little creature popped out of it. It looked like a slice of cream cake, with white frosting and strawberries on top, but it had canine features and behaved like a dog.

"Bark! Bark!" it panted happily.

GingerBrave had his candy cane ready, but lowered it upon seeing the creature. "Oh, it's just a Cake Hound. Go on little guy, shoo. Leave us b- Huh? Kirby? You okay?"

Kirby stared wide eyed at the Cake Hound. A salivating look on his face. "Ca... ca..."

The Cake Hound stopped panting and tilted its head "Woof?"

"CAKE!!!!!!!!!" Kirby exclaimed as he couldn't contain himself anymore and charged at the Cake Hound.

The Cake Hound let out a frightened yelp and ran away from Kirby as fast as it could.

Kirby tried to chase after it, but GingerBrave caught him.

"Kirby! It's okay! It's not gonna attack us, we can let it go."

Kirby frowned, his eyes watering up a little. "Cake..."

Wizard Cookie looked confused. "What was that about?" he asked Elfilin.

"Oh, cake is Kirby's favorite food. Seeing the Cake Hound must have made him hungry."

"Ah, are you hungry Kirby?" GingerBrave asked the pink puff "We've got some edible cake back at the kingdom if you want some."

Kirby's frown immediately disappeared. "Really?!? You guys have edible cake?!"

"Yup!" GingerBrave nodded "You can have some when we get back."

Kirby had an enormous smile on his face. Hearing there was edible cake in this world made him super happy. So much that he did a joyful backflip. "That would be perfect!"

Still smiling, Kirby took a deep breath and dropped the mirror ability. It turning into a little star before fading away.

"Huh? What happened to your copy ability?" asked Strawberry Cookie.

"They go away after a while ." Kirby explained "Or I let them go so I can get a new one."

"Hm, neat." Wizard Cookie commented "Anyway, let's head back now."

Elfilin nodded "That would be nice... ah... AH."

Kirby immediately turned to Elfilin, he looked like he was about to sneeze.

(Wah! Elfilin's not gonna create another vortex by accident again is he?!?) Kirby panicked in his head.

"Achoo!" Elfilin sneezed, but no portal or vortex effect happened when he did. Instead, his sneeze was immediately followed up by a coughing fit as his ability to fly started to fail him and he was falling to the ground.

"Ah! Elfilin!" Kirby cried as he caught his friend.

Elfilin was shaking as Kirby held him.

Worried, GingerBrave stepped forward and placed a hand on Elfilin's forehead. "Oh jeez! He's burning up!"

Kirby's face furrowed with worry upon hearing that. Elfilin was sick?!

"We'd better get him back to the kingdom as fast as possible!" Strawberry Cookie exclaimed.

Everyone nodded, and with Kirby holding Elfilin gently, they all started running back to the kingdom.

As the team quickly left, they didn't notice a shadowy aura start to emanate from the unconscious Cookievorous Plant. Soon a dark spherical figure emerged from its body.

It stared up ahead at the running party, then flew away.
