Music is powerful. It can stir memories, emotions. Music controls us. It beckons to us. Music is the cord that can reach into any heart. You can pull it any way with music. Music can get your heart thumping to any beat it chooses. Music can make your thoughts sigh and you chest collapse. Music can make you feel and make you remember.
Music is an instrument of manipulation. When did humans discover what combined tones could do?
It makes me think of the movie City of Bones where they make a big deal that demons hate Bach music. Music as a weapon.
Music is powerful.
When did we become so susceptible to noises? To organized noise?
When did music become a thing that will sink and tear and control a soul?
I guess it's been from the beginning. From when God created people, and people sang their thanks in hymns. Every society ever has had music.
This is the life that I chose to live. A life with a fail-safe thermostat: music.
