chapter 16

The tension was so thick between us. I wish maybe we could've done this big even another time. After the fight , it made it kinda uncomfortable for me. Even if I didn't do anything wrong. I felt like I was stuck in the middle of a storm and had a choice between two saviors.

Shannon was that boat that came to save me from the flood. That safe secure vessel that made you lose your fear of drowning. The safe bet. Then there was Jared , a huge cruise ship big fancy had all these things you didn't need but it was nice to experience. It could take you anywhere you wanna go but it just wasn't me. I was a simple kinda girl. The most extravagant thing in my life was ballet. These tickets were very expensive and hard to come by. I wasn't complaining by any means. I just didn't wanna make him think I was taking adavantge of him for his gifts.

Give me hugs and kisses over money any day. I'm good with the free expressions of love.

We arrived at the theater minutes after we left home . I laid my head against the seat and looked over to Jared and he smiled . It made me feel a little more at ease. Jared signed to me " I'm sorry about all of that. I hope it didn't ruin your night?" I smiled and signed " no , not at all " He reached over and held into my hand. Jared " shall we go then" I shook my head yes and we both opened out doors and got out.

The line wasn't very long , which was good for us, less wait. He slid our tickets under the window as we reached the front of the line. He opened the door for me. Such a gentleman. I was impressed . I didn't think chivalry was still alive today . He walked up in front of me and stopped me to sign " I have a Suprise for you " I smiled big and signed " really , for me ?" He grinned at me and signed " follow me "

I did and he took me over to a room, it had a sign on it that read " private room". I looked at him with puzzlement. Now my mind was reeling with curiosity. What was he up to ? Jared knocked on the door, we waited a couple of seconds then the door opened. A man in a black suit and tie walked out to let us in. Jared signed " after you my lady." I blushed , he held my hand and walked in after me .

The room was dark . I didn't know where I was headed. He took the lead. As we reached the edge of the carpet, I was caught breathless. I was absoultely blown away. He had gotten us balcony seats. I was right above the stage and had the eagle eye view of the performance. I couldn't put into words what this ment to me. He had definitely outdone himself. It was more then I could ever ask for.

I took my seat and he sat beside me. Two glasses of champagne and a small candle was lit. It was very romantic. Very sweet. I felt his hand reach out and hold mine. I looked up in his eyes and saw a warmth that made me break out in warm fuzzy feelings in my heart.

He kissed my hand and never let it go. I didn't pull away either. This was something he did for me. I wasn't about to make him feel I like I didn't appreciate it. Because I did.

I picked up the program below my seat and read it . I was floored that I was finally here to witness this beautiful ballet orchastration. One stage I dreamed to cross and make my mark on. One day , I aimed to make that happen. Nothing was gonna hold me back. Nothing!

Jared read over his program and was impresed . He never thought that he'd ever witness a ballet. He was only used to movies and concerts. This was another art form , a new taste of something you couldn't just talk about ,you had to witness for yourself. I moved closer to him and we both read over the full program together.

Act I

Prince Siegfried arrives at his 21st birthday celebration on the palace courtyards to find all of the royal families and townspeople dancing and celebrating, while the young girls are anxiously seeking his attention. During the exquisite celebration, his mother gives him crossbow and informs him that because he is of age now, his marriage will be quickly arranged.
