Kirby Run Part one and Two

Part One Chapter Four

"Yup!" GingerBrave confirmed "We'll do our best to help you find your friends! Wherever they may be."

"Oh thank you! That is very nice of you guys." Magolor said, clutching his hands together and his eyes happily squinting.

GingerBrave smiled "You're welcome! So, how many of your friends do we need to find?"

"Hmm... let's see..." Kirby started counting all the friends that went into the vortex in his head. While recalling, the thought struck him. (Wait, the Dark Matter creatures didn't get sent here too, did they? Eh, probably shouldn't worry about that right now...)

"Since we just found Magolor, that's one less friend to find, as for the others... including the three other Waddle Dees... We have sixteen friends to find!"

Wizard Cookie almost did a spit take. "SIXTEEN?!? What, were you having a party and a vortex decided to be a part of it?!?"

"Close! We were actually having a picnic." Adeleine recalled.

"So, we have to help find sixteen Cookies..." Strawberry Cookie noted "That won't take long..."

(Hey, sixteen is nothing compared to how many of my fellow Waddle Dees got sent to the Forgotten World.) Bandana Dee wanted to say, but kept it in his mind.

"Oh boy, where do we even start looking?" GingerBrave grimaced.

"We could ask around!" Bandana Dee suggested "Our friends are very different from the Cookies of this world, I'm sure if someone saw one of them, they would know to make a note about it!"

Bandana Dee's suggestion helped GingerBrave regain some confidence. "Good idea! Lots of travelers come and go around here, there's a good chance someone might have seen one of them!"

"That, and we could ask the Sugar Gnomes for assistance." Wizard Cookie reminded him.

"Oh right! Where are the Sugar Gnomes anyway?"

GingerBrave's question was immediately answered when two Sugar Gnomes were seen running towards him and the group.

"GingerBrave! GingerBrave!" They called.

"Hey! Perfect timing! Huh? What's wrong?"

The two Sugar Gnomes stopped in front of GingerBrave, panting. One managed to regain their breath and step forward. "Trouble! Trouble! We've got a situat- Huh? Who are they?"

Kirby waved at the Sugar Gnomes "Hai!!!"

"This is Kirby, Adeleine, Bandana Waddle Dee, and Magolor! They're the ones that came from the vortex Maestro Sugar Gnome saw form in the sky. They got lost and are looking for their friends." GingerBrave explained.

Adeleine smiled at the little Sugar Gnomes "Aw, they're so much cuter than I thought they'd be!"

"Ah, okie dokie." said one of the Sugar Gnomes "We've got a situation though! We were visiting the Bear Jelly Village, getting a fresh supply of very very delicious Bear Jellies, but on our way back we saw a giant Cookievorous Plant not far from here!"

"We're REALLY worried it's gonna attack the kingdom!" the second Sugar Gnome grimaced.

"Cookievorous Plant?" said Magolor, trying not to laugh.

Adeleine knelt down beside the second Sugar Gnome. "Are you okay? You look like you're melting."

"Oh I'm fine." the melty Sugar Gnome reassured her "This is just a side effect that happens when we Sugar Gnomes get, STRESSED OUT."

"Well here, Wizard Cookie, Strawberry Cookie, and I will take care of it." GingerBrave promised the Sugar Gnomes "Strawberry Cookie, have you seen Chili Pepper Cookie?"

"I think she's still out trying to get her bounty higher than that other thief." Strawberry Cookie explained "The one who looks like cheese?"

"Ah, right." GingerBrave tapped his foot "What about Herb Cookie and Custard Cookie III? Should we get their help?"

"Custard Cookie III wanted to help Avocado Cookie at the smithy, remember?" Wizard Cookie reminded him "And I don't think Herb Cookie will be much help here. He might try to make it his pet, like he did with Cookiesnap."

GingerBrave sighed "Right, I guess we can handle this on our own."

"Wait! I can help!" Kirby offered, pushing up his mirror ability hat.

GingerBrave blinked. "You sure? Aren't you tired?"

"Nope! I've still got lots of energy! (I am getting pretty hungry though...)"

"Yeah, Kirby can handle any monster lickety-split!" Magolor gloated, patting Kirby on the head "He's a being capable of infinite power."

Bandana happily nodded at Magolor's remark. Kirby simply smiled.

Wizard Cookie tilted his head. "If you say so."

"No really." Magolor insisted "See his outfit? This is just one of the many copy abilities he's capable of! All he needs to do is-"

"Uh, actually, Magolor?" Adeleine interrupted him "Can I talk to you for a second?"

Adeline then pulled him to the side and whispered in his ear.

She whispered that Kirby wasn't able to inhale enemies in this world, a fact that befuddled Magolor.

"What? But then how does he have a copy ability???" he whispered.

"We found a different method for him to get some." Adeleine quietly answered.

"And that would be?"

"I'll show you later!"

The two then walked back to the group, Magolor adjusting the belt on his scarf. "Um, sorry about that. Basically Kirby's able to have a variety of powers. Like the one he's holding now. It'll come in handy with fighting monsters."

"Sounds good!" said GingerBrave, looking down at Kirby "You all set to come with us then?"

"Poyo!" Kirby nodded.

"Alrighty!" GingerBrave then looked up at Kirby's friends "You guys can chill here until we get back."

He then turned to less melty looking Sugar Gnome "You wouldn't mind giving these cookies a tour, would you?"

"Ooh, it would be an honor." the Sugar Gnome agreed.

"Thanks! Let's go then!" GingerBrave declared, motioning for Wizard Cookie, Strawberry Cookie, and Kirby to follow him.

With that, the four set off to go find and fight the giant Cookievorous plant.

Once they were gone, the two Sugar Gnomes looked up at the newcomers.

"Okie dokie!" one Sugar Gnome began "We will give you the grand tour of this grand kingdom! doopity-doo!"

Adeleine laughed as she and her friends started following the Sugar Gnomes. During the little tour, they passed by two other Sugar Gnomes that were carrying what looked like a giant sparkly cookie cutter.

Magolor immediately noticed it. "Hold on, what is that??"

The leading Sugar Gnome turned to Magolor. "That my friend is a Magic Cookie Cutter! The Cookies find them in random locations and bring them here. They're funny things though. They disappear sometimes!"

Magolor let out a little laugh.

"What's so funny?" Bandana Dee asked him.

Magolor seemed to be smiling. "Hee hee, I think I figured out what world that cookie cutter Elfilin found is from."
