"All we need now is something to hide the staff in." said Adeleine.
The three of them tried to think of something that would keep the staff hidden, when Bandana Dee noticed what Adeleine was still carrying and got an idea.
"Hey! Let's carry it in Dedede's golf bag!"
Kirby smiled "Yeah! That'll work perfectly!"
Adeleine had to suppress a laugh. "Really? You wanna carry something so special and magical in a golf bag?"
"I think it's a great idea!" Kirby said in support of Bandana Dee's suggestion.
"Okay," Adeleine soon agreed "but won't Dedede mind us using something that belongs to him?"
Bandana Dee shook his head. "Nah, I'm sure Great King Dedede will be fine with it. And once we find him and explain, he'll understand. Besides, I think he'll be more upset that we lost his golf balls."
That made Adeleine chuckle. "That is quite likely." she then removed the golf bag from her shoulder, set it down, and unzipped it. "Alright then, Kirby can you hand me the staff? I promise I'll be really careful with it."
Nodding, Kirby got up and handed Adeleine the staff, and with great care she placed it gently within the golf bag. She then carefully zipped the golf bag back up.
"You mind if you carry it for me?" Kirby asked "I think my 'shoulders' are too small to carry it."
"Sure thing Kirby. I'll handle it with great care." Adeleine promised, carefully wrapping the straps of the golf bag over her left shoulder and putting her hand on the bag.
"Thank you Adeleine." Kirby thanked her, "So, shall we resume our search for our friends and find a way out of this forest?"
"Yes! Let's go!" Bandana Dee twirled his spear like a baton and marched ahead confidently with his eyes closed. "Now that Kirby's got a method for copy abilities, and combined that with our own strengths, nothing's gonna stand in our way!"
"Uh... Bandana..."
"Hm? What's up Adeleine?-" Bandana Dee had turned to look at her while marching, only to bump into what she was trying to warn him about. Upon seeing what he had bumped into, he let out a squeak of fear.
The choco roll hoglet had found them!
Bandana let out a loud yelp and bolted back to his friends. Once he was by their sides, he regained some confidence and prepared his spear. Kirby straightened the mirror ability hat and took a fighting stance himself, while Adeleine looked like she was ready to grab her friends and start running again.
The choco roll hoglet then charged at them.
Only for something to charge into its side and throw it off balance. Resulting in it falling to the ground.
The strange figure that had attacked the beast stood up and stretched. "Ha! Gotcha!" it boasted to the beast.
Kirby and his friends blinked in surprise.
It was an actual living gingerbread boy! With blue eyes, a red mouth, skull buttons, and a small tuft of white hair. He was carrying a candy cane that appeared to be his weapon. He looked around Adeleine's height, except a few inches shorter.
Getting up and shaking its body, the choco roll hoglet angrily grumbled at the gingerbread boy.
"Oh, not done yet?" the gingerbread boy taunted the monster "Then come and get me!"
The gingerbread boy then started to run around in massive circles, with the choco roll hoglet chasing after him.
Kirby was impressed. Despite how fast the beast was running, the gingerbread boy managed to outspeed it.
After running in circles for half a minute, the choco roll hoglet grew dizzy and had to stop to prevent itself from falling. The gingerbread boy himself stopped and called out "Now Wizard Cookie!"
"Lightning strike!"
With that command, a small lightning storm struck the choco roll hoglet, causing the creature to squeal in pain and knocking it unconscious.
Revealing himself from behind the beast, a more petite Cookie that was dressed like a wizard and had hair that looked like ice cream covering his right eye stepped towards the gingerbread boy.
"Nice job!" the gingerbread boy congratulated his wizard friend "That choco roll hoglet didn't see it coming!"
"We did catch it off guard, yes." the Cookie dressed as a wizard nodded "Not our usual fighting style, but those things need to learn to stop charging at Cookies."
"Speaking of which," the gingerbread boy started to turn around "let's see who it was trying to atta-"
He stopped mid sentence when he saw the trio that stood before him, his wizard friend going wide eyed when he saw them too.
Kirby innocently waved at them "Hai!!~ Thanks for helping!"
After a moment of staring in confusion, the gingerbread boy spoke up. "Who- who are you guys??"
The Cookie dressed as a wizard kept staring at Kirby and Bandana Waddle Dee. "And more importantly, what are you????"
