Spelltwister Cookie seemed intrigued.
Tell me, how do your powers work? Normally only me and any Cookies I allow to use this staff are capable of using its magic, and- unless I myself temporarily use my own magic to create a projection of myself to others, which uses up a ton of magic- I am only able to talk to someone in their mind if they've got great magic capabilities, I can still somewhat tell what is happening around my staff- at least when I'm awake- but I can't engage or do anything, so you being able to talk with me must mean you're incredibly powerful.
That, and what you have said about your powers makes them seem quite intriguing.
Kirby's frown seemed to have faded away, replaced with a less downhearted expression. "Well normally, I am able to inhale foes, or any projectile powers that they try and attack me with, and sometimes when I do this, I gain a power called 'Copy Abilities' which is a special power that lets me use powers and abilities my enemies would usually have! But I guess this cookie body isn't stretchable enough or something, because it doesn't seem to work."
Interesting...
"It's not the only way I can get abilities though, sometimes if I make contact with things that have the essence of a copy ability or some type of essence, I can get an ability without having to inhale anything! They're not easy to find though, and I don't know if this world has any of that stuff."
Essences you say?
Kirby blinked. "Wait, does this world have essences?!?"
I'm not sure they're like the ones you're referring to, and I doubt they function the same way, but yes.
This world has lots of essences.
And that gives me an idea.
A huge smile formed on Kirby and his eyes started to sparkle as his excitement grew and grew. "What's your idea?"
Kirby, I cannot let you wield my power, for not only is there only so much of it left, but it is dangerous and can spark chaos if given to the wrong being. However, I can share a bit of it to help you obtain the powers you need. I don't think you'll get the same ability every time, yet it should still help.
"You would do that?" Kirby's smile was as wide as it could be.
Of course.
Kirby started dancing. "THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!"
On one condition.
Kirby stopped dancing. "Huh? What is it?"
I will help you obtain copy abilities, but in return, I must ask that you help me find a way out of this staff, if the Cookie I was waiting for is no longer coming, then I would still like a way out of here. You don't have to rush in finding a way to free me, but I would greatly appreciate it.
"Absolutely!" Kirby immediately responded "You don't even need to ask! I would have helped out regardless! Whenever someone's in need of help, I can't just leave them be! I'll help out, no matter how hard the task may be!"
Spelltwister Cookie seemed to be surprised by this answer.
You are certain of this?
Kirby nodded.
Thank you. Thank you so much. You are already one of the kindest souls I've seen.
"Aww, it's nothing! Anything for a new friend."
"Although speaking of friends, you think you provide me with an ability now so I can help out my friend Bandana Waddle Dee?"
Certainly, however I must ask one more thing.
