Bandana Dee started to waddle around the area "At any rate, let's try and find out here-"

Just then, Bandana Dee's sentence was cut off by the sounds and movements of the forest around them, and the forest began to shift. Bandana panicked initially, but as he ran to hide behind the plant monument, he saw that a part of the glade had opened up.

"...That works! Let's go guys! This might be an exit!"

Adeleine smiled widely, and caught up to Bandana. Kirby did the same, but slightly slower than Adeleine. As he walked, he kept staring at the blotched surface within the star shape on the staff.

Now that the three were back in the main woods, they decided to keep traversing it to see if they could find their friends. Or perhaps even civilization, or something helpful.

Walking side by side, the three of them kept their eyes out so they would be able to spot anything important or interesting.

"Somehow, this part of the forest looks gloomy as well." Bandana Dee commented while looking around "Is this forest just prone to sadness?"

"You'd expect a forest in a food world to look more delicious!" Adeleine joked, making Bandana Dee chuckle.

Kirby was still looking at the staff while he and his friends had been traversing, but then, very abruptly, he looked up and stopped in his tracks. "Guys... I think I heard something."

Adeleine and Bandana Dee stopped in their tracks and looked at Kirby, alarmed. Kirby motioned them to follow him, and they hid behind some bushes. Adeleine having to kneel down to keep herself hidden.

They hid and listened, the sound that Kirby heard growing louder as its source approached closer. It sounded like ribbits.

Bandana Dee readied his spear (If it's that weird hog cake monster thing again, I don't care how effective my spear is, I'm not letting that thing chase us again!)

Soon the creature, or rather creatures, revealed themselves. They were some kind of large frog-like creatures. They kinda looked like they were made of gelatin or jell-o, and they had spiked heads, with the rest of their bodies having somewhat frog-like features.

Adeleine peaked from behind the bush "Okay, at least it's not the hog roll thing." she whispered "They're very strange though, how do we get past them?"

One of the frog creatures glanced in the direction Kirby, Bandana Dee, and Adeleine were hiding. Adeleine quickly diving back under cover.

"You don't think it saw us, do you?"

Kirby peaked out his little cookie head, and saw that a few of the frog gelatin creatures were hopping towards their hiding place. "Uh oh, I think they did!"

Bandana Dee looked nervous for a moment, but he took a deep breath, firmly grasped his spear, and looked at his friends. "I'm not gonna let monsters chase us around again!" he confidently said "I'll fight them off!"

With that, Bandana Waddle Dee leaped from the bush and thrusted his spear towards the frog monsters. The spear managing to make contact with one of them and knocking it out. The rest of them looked quite surprised at their sudden attacker, but quickly took fighting positions themselves. They began to shoot slime from their mouths, aiming at the cookiefied waddle dee.

Bandana Dee managed to dodge most of the attacks, but a few of the projectiles managed to hit him, causing him to flinch. Still, he pressed on, succeeding in knocking out two more of these monsters.

Yet it wasn't enough, the four remaining frog monsters had started to overwhelm him with their relentless slime attacks, and they were getting harder and harder to continuously dodge.

"He needs help!" Kirby exclaimed "We've got to help him!"

Adeleine nodded, a determined look on her face. "I'll try and shoo them away with my paintbrush, but I don't know if that'll be enough. Anything you can do?"

Kirby thought for a moment, then glanced back down at the staff he was still holding. Taking a breath, he gripped the staff harder, and began to concentrate.

(Please, I don't think you'll respond to me, but please.) he begged in his mind, trying to communicate with the staff's power (I need to help my friend. Not just him, all of my friends. I need to help save them and get them back home. But I can't do it alone, please help me. I must save them. Whatever it takes.)

Just then, the star shape on the staff began to glow. It started small, but it began to grow bigger and bigger.

Adeleine's eyes went wide "Uhh... Kirby?!?! What's happening?!?"

Kirby let out a "Wah!" as the light enveloped him.
