'hi baby I'm sorry I would love to talk to you right now but I am about to scrub into surgery',
Derek said, I could hear him going to hang up,
'wait Derek I'm in the hospital',
I said quickly, he laughed slightly,
'well sorry baby but I'm not really surprised by that news',
Derek said, the tears from the pain began to well in my eyes and I shook my head,
'no Derek I'm like in the hospital as a patient',
I said to him. He hung up the phone, he didn't say anything, I handed my phone to Owen,
'what did he say?',
Owen asked me, I let out a shaky breath before shrugging my shoulders,
'can you just fill me with morphine already?',
I asked Owen, he awkwardly smiled at me and nodded his head at me. Owen went to change my IV but stopped,
'could I use this as a teaching opportunity with the interns?',
Owen asked me. I slowly nodded my head at him,
'yeah just double my morphine dose',
I said to him not entirely sure whether I was joking or not; he slowly began to nod his head at me realising that it was a good idea. Owen doubled my dose as the interns began to work on,
'Hunt what's going on? why are the interns working on her?!',
