'I want you to monitor the patient for next few hours; making sure all his vitals are fine and if anything changes page me immediately',
I heard Alex say as he came out of surgery with a resident, he began to walk through the halls. He stopped as he saw me sat on the ground between to surgical carts, he stood directly in front of me and looked down at me confused before taking off of his scrub cap,
'you're shaking what's wrong?',
Alex asked me, I looked up at him slightly confused,
'I'm sitting on the ground in the middle of the hallway and you're focused on the fact that I'm shaking',
I said to me, he nodded his head at me before getting on the ground sitting next to me,
'you going to tell me what's actually wrong?',
Alex asked again, I shook my head at him as I felt tears well in my eyes. I pulled my scrub cap off before dropping my head on to his shoulder,
'hey, hey whatever happened in your surgery it's okay',
Alex said to me, he wrapped his arm around my shoulders pulling me into his chest. As soon as he began to comfort me I finally stopped shaking, he kissed the tops of my head,
'thank you Alex',
I said to him, I could see him smile at me slightly,
'any time baby',
Alex said to me, I felt a lot better so I lifted my head up off of his shoulder,
'baby I can feel you're pager buzzing you might want to go fix what ever your resident has stuffed up'.
