"Here!" The blonde child handed him a bright red rose.
"Hm?" Ballister looked confused.
"I found it, I thought I might give it to you." Ambrosius smiled widely.
"Oh. Thank you." Ballister gave the electric blonde a soft smile as he took the flower.

"Hey, Bal!" Ambrosius waved to the smaller teen.
"Oh, hey Ambrosius."
"Need something?" Ballister paused for the blonde to catch up.
"No, I just wanted to hang out with you." Ambrosius smiled.
"Classes are over so I wanted to see if you were free," Ambrosius told him.
"Umm." Ballister shuffled around in his bag unsurely.
"I don't think I have anything," Ballister said.
"Wanna go somewhere?" He asked the blond.
"Yeah, I was thinking of the tree as always." Ambrosius seemed unsure.
"You good? You seem nervous about something." Ballister quickly noticed the blonds fiddling.
"Yeah, I'm fine," Ambrosius reassured the shorter.
"Ok, if your not just tell me," Ballister told Ambrosius calmly.
"No worries, I'm a-ok." Ambrosius squeaked.
"Ok..." Ballister replied uncertainly.

Their walk to the tree was quiet. Ballister couldn't think of anything to say while Ambrosius was too busy fidgeting around with his hands.
Ballister noticed Ambrosius's nervousness the entire time but didn't want to ask the same question once again. So he kept his mouth shut the entire time.

Once they got to the tree Ambrosius opened his mouth.
"Hey, Bal..?" He asked nervously.
"Yeah?"
He took a deep breath before saying something.
"I don't want this to ruin our friendship but..."

"I really really like you."

Ambrosius paused for a bit as he attempted to recuperate himself.
Ballister stood stunned.
He wasn't stupid. He knew what he meant.
"I've loved you since I can remember."
"Your just so perfect."
"And you probably deserve better."
"But I just want to see if you'll except me as your boyfriend..."
Ballister smirked at the nervousness he showed.
The golden boy's pale skin so obviously flushed bright red.
He placed his cold palm on the reddened boy's cheek and directed his eyes toward his.
"I'll gladly be your boyfriend Ambrosius." He smiled.
Ambrosius's eyes widened.
"I thought that was going to end differently..." Ambrosius chuckled nervously.
Ballister leaned forward and placed a kiss on the other's lips.
"I really really like you too," Ballister repeated Ambrosius's words.
Ambrosius smiled at him.
"Here." Ambrosius handed him a bright red rose.
"Don't think I forgot our little thing." He smirked.
Ballister chuckled as he took the flower.
"How could I forget?"

"I can't do this." Ballister sighed as his armor brushed against the metal lockers.
"A knight?"
"Your such a fool Ballister," Ballister mumbled to himself in the empty locker room.
"You have to show up at least, it's the knighting ceremony." Ballister attempted to hype himself up.
"What are other knights going to think?"
It didn't work.
"What are the people going to think...?" Ballister groaned into his gloved palms.

"I know that they'll love you, Bal."

Ballister jumped at the voice coming from across the room.
"Ambrosius."
"You scared me."
"How long have you been standing there..?" Ballister frantically tried to hide his emotions.
Ambrosius approached the nervous man with a soft smile on his face.
"The ceremony's starting in a bit."
"You should be out there." Ambrosius held Ballister's hands in his own.
"I don't deserve to be out there." Ballister sighed.
"You deserve to be there more than any of us."
"You've worked twice as hard to be here than anyone." Ambrosius brought a hand to the other's cheek.
"What if they don't like me?" Ballister leaned into the golden armor placed over his shoulder.
"No one hates a hero of the realm."
Ambrosius lifted up the head laying on his shoulder.
"They going to love you,"
Ambrosius grabbed something from a small pocket in his armor.

"Like I do."

Ambrosius lifted up a bright red rose between their faces.
Ballister couldn't help but snicker.
"How do I never see this coming?" Ballister asked as he took to rose from his hand.
The two put their foreheads together as they laughed.
"Come on Bal."
"It's your big day." Ambrosius grabbed his hand tightly as he lead them both out of the room.

"Nimona!"
"Yes, boss." Nimona stared at the man with a cheeky smile.
"What did you do?" Ballister glared at the pink chaos that stood in front of him.
"What do you mean?"
"You know exactly what I mean."
Nimona groaned.
"How did you even find out?" She scowled as she crossed her arms over her chest.
"Because it's not every day I see Todd Sureblade on the news crying about a pink kwispy dragon punching him in the face." Ballister stared.
"Hehe." Nimona snickered.
"Come on boss, it's punchable face guy."
"Your just upset I did it before anyone had the confidence to." Nimona stood proudly.
"Actually you're the second to punch him out of annoyance and or anger." Ballister mentioned.
"Wait what!?"
"Who was the first!?" Nimona yelled upset that her accomplishment was a lie.
"Ambrosius was." Ballister hid a smile that was invisible to her.
"Seriously!?"
"Ambrosius Goldenloin!?" Nimona yelled as she rolled around in what is now her spinny chair.
"The guy's last name is golden di-"
"Nimona-!" Ballister cut the girl off. But soon Ballister was cut off by a knock on the door. He looked over suspiciously before grabbing another broken bottle.
"Yeah, you know exactly why that's his name don't you?" Nimona mumbled.
"Nimona!" Ballister replied to her remark with a blushing face.
Ballister turned his attention back to the door refusing to want to continue the topic.
He slowly approached the door.
He grabbed the doorknob cautiously before swinging it open.
He was greeted with a gust of wind but no person.
He looked around before noticing the footprints approaching and leaving the door. Footprints that could've only come from the knight's armor.
He looked down at where the footprints ended and was greeted by a shocking sight.

A bright red rose.
