Synopsis:

As soon as she opened her eyes, she became the young wife in the army during the 1970s.

Facing the tall, handsome and cheap husband in front of her, he told her some things to pay attention to.

Su Yao sincerely praised him: You have such a good temper.

Zhou Yanan who was praised for his good temper for the first time: ?

Later, Su Yao learned that Zhou Yanan was the male protagonist's colleague who was known for being unkind. She recalled the description of him as a tyrant in the original text, and then looked at his 24/7 filial good husband.

What a wonderful person, who is spreading those rumors outside?

Others: Haha

Zhou Yanan is famous for his extraordinary abilities and is well-known in the military region. He is also known for his bad and stubborn temper.

One day Zhou Yanan brought home a delicate and pretty wife who seemed weak and easy to bully.

Everyone around them was worried for her.

Until one day, a neighbor who was passing by saw the wife scolding Zhou Yanan, and the usually cold-faced person only listened gently.

Neighbor: !!!

Impressions: Done reading this. Hmmm... this is a...typical(?) strong female lead-centric 70s novel.

Our MC is a lawyer, she takes a nap and wakes up in the 70s as a daughter of a worker couple in the city. OG's parents are selfish, they asked her to give up her job so her brother won't go to the countryside. Later, they complained that OG was not contributing to the family =_= and starts maltreating her. MC starts to stand up against the parents although not in a full-blown confrontational way. Her goal is to move out, she could find a new job...or get married.

OG's previous teacher acted as a matchmaker and introduced her nephew, ML, to MC. ML is a soldier stationed in a remote area. MC agreed after seeing his photo and travelled to his place to become his wife. ML has a notorious reputation in their battalion but MC discovered that he is actually kind. He's also very responsible and a good family man. They live together for awhile like housemates(?) before slowly becoming a real couple.

Later, MC realizes that this was a book world when the male lead along with his three sons and the heroine stepmother transferred over. MC really liked the heroine in the book so she befriends her, at the same time, taught her some 'modern ideas' about being a wife. In the book, the heroine devoted everything to the male lead and her stepsons. The stepsons didn't like her and it was only at the end when they became parents themselves did they realize how good the heroine was. ◔_◔ There was also some dogblood misunderstandings love-hate drama etc. between the male lead and the heroine cos the heroine transmigrated from ancient times so she infinitely endures her husband. Anyways, MC becomes BFF with the heroine and would speak for her and make the male lead/stepsons realize that they should not take the heroine's kindness for granted.

Hmm... regarding career, MC became the leader of the women's group so they would encounter some conflicts and mediate. After their Corps was dissolved, ML was assigned to the Capital and they moved there. The male lead's family also moved to the Capital and she became the heroine's neighbor again. They took the college exam together and MC became a law student to become a lawyer again. Ending is...#spoiler MC discussing with ML whether she will go to graduate school. Extras is the book's little villain dreaming about his previous life when he didn't meet MC (ML and the heroine was acting weird on this Extra too, but we didn't get their POVs) and an IF LINE, MC transmigrated before the OG gave up her job, but she still met ML in another way, and there was a courtship period~.

Hmm.. I said this was female lead-centric, cos from start to end, I had no idea what ML's job is. Lol. He's sometimes in the office, sometimes on a mission etc. After moving to the Capital, I know he was transferred to a factory and again, no mention of his work whatsoever. ( I don't think MC ever visited him). Focus is completely in the female lead, and MC never seems to think of ML when he's out of sight. Lol. MC stayed away from her evil relatives but she didn't escape encountering the petty cannonfodders due to her women's group work, or the person is scheming against ML / ML's family. MC usually takes a roundabout approach on solving them. This is actually why I disliked our MC a bit. She's quite...sly. I mean, I like clever MCs but how to say, sometimes her thought process isn't....clean(?). For example, when she handed the Corps contact number to a widowed family, her first thought was that in case the family reported them she'll deny it since the family won't be able to provide evidence anyway. During recruitment for the women's group, she made all the leaders sign her method of selecting applicants so no one could fault her / hold her accountable. How to say, maybe its the lawyer instincts in her kicking in. Most of the time though, MC is a salted fish or a defender of women's rights. She was also nice to the future little villain with no extra thoughts (she was even surprised when Little Villain wanted to enter a military academy). Meanwhile, ML is good, great, a considerate doting husband. After they became a real couple though, there were fewer romantics scenes cos there was less flirting XD

Something atypical though is that this 70s novel has no money-making / business management aspect~ just sayin~ Read this for smart female lead.
