Title: 七零穿成女主闺蜜

Chapters: 111 + 3 Extras

Synopsis:

Lin Yuyu, a plant-type ability user in the apocalypse, crossed over and transmigrated as an educated youth who went to the countryside. This educated youth is also the best girlfriend of the heroine. As the heroine's best friend, in the original plot, the original considered it to be a blessing to follow the heroine, at least she was able to pass through the turbulent times safely and married a kind and honest man.

However, Lin Yuyu, who had crossed over, did not want to take this road.

Impressions: Hmm.. its an okay read. Nice enough to binge read and MTL, but not really a fave or anything~

So our MC is from a zombie apocalypse world and crossed over to the 70s as the heroine's bestfriend, or rather, the heroine's maid(?). The original was introverted and the heroine was her very first friend so she treated her really well, doing all her work for her.

Now this is the countryside, both the original and the heroine are educated youths, so it is really hard work for OG. Of course, as the heroine's bestfriend, OG was also benefited by the heroine's halo, she married a good man and lived peacefully in the countryside after the heroine left when the college entrance examination resumed.

However, MC thinks that OG's health was probably not good by then. After all, she spent most years of her life doing the work of two people in exchange for what? an occasional glass of milk and "Thank you!"s and "You're the best!" from the heroine. She thinks that the heroine is a good girl, and she is willing to keep this friendship, but she is not willing to be the heroine's maid.

So after crossing over (OG drowned), MC used the excuse of bad health to get out of helping the heroine. At the same time, she revealed her medical knowledge (med student before the apocalypse) so she can be the doctor of their village instead of farming. Anyways, later, she found her nephew who died in the apocalypse, he seemed to have transmigrated too, into a trafficked child adopted in the village, so the villagers found out that MC is really good to this kid.

Hmm.. then MC meets ML, ML is the Uncle of the body/identity of MC's nephew. Due to some family troubles, the original nephew was kidnapped but ML did not stop searching for him until now. ML asked MC to take care of the nephew first since he hasn't cleaned up their family's enemy yet. MC agrees.

Then they become penpals for six years~ MC stays in the village, proposing many things like building roads, schools, planting medicinal herbs, opening an orchard and winery. Leading the village to prosperity~~

The heroine is sometimes mentioned, she made a new friend, a villager girl, to help her with her work. This friend's family wanted the heroine to marry into their family so they intentionally got the heroine drunk and then her friend's brother slept with her. Because of this, the heroine was devastated, she also had a hurdle in her heart and thinks she doesn't deserve the male lead anymore.

After six years, ML's enemies have been dealt with and he came to meet MC and his nephew. Then...in the most unromantic way, MC & ML got together. ML mentioned that he is worried that his future wife might not like the nephew and asked MC (jokingly), and MC agreed cos she is also worried for her nephew. ^^; After getting together though, MC & ML are sweet~ And ML is doting to MC.

Then the college entrance exam resumes, MC also gets preggo, she passed the exam to a University in the Capital, she gives birth to a little bun and the whole family moves to the Capital. After graduation, she enters the research institute to develop medicine.

Extras is about the OG's stepbrother, then the heroine, she studied to become a lawyer and sued her rapist, and got together with the male lead now that she has moved on, then the nephew's PoV.

Hmm... MC has plant powers from the apocalypse but it becomes less relevant later, (I almost forgot MC has this setting) and MC's golden finger is basically her medical knowledge. Romance starts waayyy later, cos MC & ML are apart and MC doesn't really see ML as a man but rather a potential 'rival' who will take away her nephew from her.

Everything is easy and simplistic. MC wants to setup an orchard? The village is simply too happy to agree and it just happens. MC wants to build a winery, wants roads, wants electricity. Basically, the village cadres obeys. It's not like I wanted a conflict or anything, but it made it sound so easy when these things are supposed to be a big deal during the 60s-70s. (The MCs of other 60s-70s novels are ashamed! Lol)

Anyways, on the upside, the MC is smooth sailing and hardly ever encounters troubles so readers who like that might appreciate this. It's a nice enough read if you just want to read about everything going well for the MC and her family~~

Read this for MC who leads the village to prosperity~~

Edit: Another novel from the same author, 60s Dressed as a Girlfriend, wherein MC becomes the bestfriend of the vicious supporting female lead. The original/soul of the bestfriend became MC's System and asked her to save her bestfriend. The vicious supporting female lead in the original novel was actually reborn. In this 2nd(?) novel, the reborn supporting FL IS the heroine, and she was supposed to get her own happiness this time but a transmigrator came over and stole her designated male lead from her. Anyways, its just our MC pretending to be double rebirth with the heroine in order to prevent the transmigrator from harming her. In the end, she sent the heroine away to the Capital, so she no longer has anything to do with the plot and lived her own life~ The ML is a soldier, and there's a few small doses of patriotism near the end.

This is also just okay for me (but I prefer Dressed as the Heroine's Bestfriend in the 70s more), the premise is just weird. I felt like the original being MC's System was just needlessly complicating things. MC could just transmigrate and maybe she feels sorry for the supposed-heroine and the original body's bestfriend so she would help her a little. I dunno if the original/System ever felt...sad that MC is living her life for her while she watched. Also, because of the heroine and MC's closeness, I almost thought this would be yuri. HAHAHA.. Come to think of it, I've never read yuri before. Maybe I could give it a try. Hmmm...
