It was an annoyingly bright morning, and Kim Jisoo was irritated by everything.

Jisoo got up, completed her morning routine in the washroom, and came out. She tried to wake up Lisa, who simply rolled off the bed and fell onto the floor. That was how Lisa woke up for her first day of school after a long and tiring weekend.

Meanwhile, in Jennie and Rosé's room, Jennie had already showered and was deciding what to wear while Rosé was taking her turn in the shower. Jennie dressed, packed her bag, and decided to head downstairs. Rosé came out of the bathroom and asked, "Good morning, unnie. Did you sleep well?" Jennie replied, "Good morning to you too, Rosé. Yes, I slept well. I'm going outside, come fast." "Yes, unnie," Rosé said, starting to get ready. Jennie went outside and saw her Jisoo unnie. "Good morning, Jisoo unnie." Jisoo smiled sarcastically and said, "Yeah, what a beautiful and bright morning it is. I mean, see, the breakfast is also ready, everything is so clean, and I am completely ready. Everything is just fantastic."

Jennie looked at Jisoo, who was not ready at all. Her clothes were wet, likely from butter or water—Jennie couldn't tell which. The toasts were burning in the toaster, and only one egg was boiled. Jennie looked at Jisoo and told her , "Unnie, you go and get ready. I'll make breakfast and give food to Rosé and Lisa too." Jisoo dropped the spoon she was holding on the shelf, washed her hands, hugged Jennie from a slight distance, kissed her cheek, and ran towards her room. Jennie chuckled, then turned around to face the messy kitchen. She huffed and started making omelets with bread and coffee.

Lisa and Rosé came out of their rooms and saw Jennie in the kitchen. Lisa sat at the table while Rosé went in and brought out coffee for both of them. After five minutes, Jennie came out with two plates in her hands.

"Here you go," Jennie said, handing the plates to Rosé and Lisa. "Thanks, unnie," they replied.

All three of them ate their breakfast. Jisoo then emerged from her room, running straight to the entrance and calling out, "Yah, are you three coming out or do you want to be late for school today?" The three of them walked towards the door. Lisa said, "Look who's talking," eyeing Jisoo. Rosé held Lisa's hand and pulled her outside. Jennie hurried to the door and handed something to Jisoo. "I packed your breakfast," Jennie said. Jisoo took the foil-wrapped package from Jennie's hand and said, "What would I ever do without you?" Jennie snickered and replied, "You would've always been late for school, that's all."

Jennie and Jisoo are cousins who have been living together since Jennie was 10 and Jisoo was 11. They started living in a house given to them by Jisoo's father, Mr. Kim. Mr. Kim always wanted a son and had sent Jisoo away because he didn't want a daughter, claiming he wanted her to be independent. This is how Jisoo and Jennie ended up living together. Every month, Mr. Kim provides them with some money. Additionally, Jisoo and Jennie work in a library to support themselves.

Jennie, Lisa, Rosé, and Jisoo entered the school and began running towards their classrooms, as they were late due to walking to school. Lisa was in Section A, while Jennie, Rosé, and Jisoo were in Section C. Jennie aspired to become a banker, Lisa aimed to be a dancer, and both Jisoo and Rosé dreamed of becoming K-pop idols. Lisa had opted for Social Sciences, while Rosé, Jisoo, and Jennie chose Commerce.
