Insecurity

A feeling so hollow,

A thought so grim,
Insecurity seeps in,
Making life so dim.

It shatters confidence,
And hinders growth,
Creates obstacles,
From dawn till dusk.

Masking the true self,
And feeding on fear,
Insecurity becomes,
A constant sneer.

The key is to accept,
And love oneself,
Insecurity will falter,
And no longer delves.

Into our minds,
And make us blind,
To our true potential,
And all that we can find.

So embrace the imperfections,
And trust in your worth,
Insecurity will fade,
And life will have mirth.
