Wonderland

Oh, dear Alice,
Whisk me away to Wonderland,
Drag me down the rabbit hole,
Take me to see the caterpillar;

Anything, dear Alice,
to escape reality.

Let me watch the smoke rings billow
from the tops of mushrooms
as they form the shapes of
broken dreams,
Floating down, down, down,
Distorted and dissipating rapidly.

Show me the red roses
stained with the blood
of childlike innocence lost.
Show me the shaking hands
of the culprits trying desperately
to mend the past without
Tearing to pieces.

If silence is all I'm destined to hear,
Fill my head with the sound of
the Queen's anger,
for my heart can take it no longer.

Show me a new reality, dear Alice,
One where logic becomes
Unhinged.
One where any direction you take
Will lead to both Somewhere
And nowhere.

Give me the world
Where the voices inside my head
are no longer the only ones I listen to;
Please, fair Alice,
Guide me to the world
where the invisible smile
Is no longer mine.
