Riley's POV

I wake up to a mild headache, what even happened last night,

I feel the urge to get up and get ready, even thought it's only...

I check my phone, Saturday.

I have a shower and take a moment to gaze around at the quiet empty house, everybody's probably still asleep.

I head to the window seat in the lounge room, and just sit there.

Although my mind seems to be at piece, it feels like so many problems are still lingering,

hanging,

worthlessly but painfully in my mind,

like everything is in place,

but something still not quite right,

my mind is not at peace.

Some music goes off and it takes me a moment to realize it's my phone,

"hello?"

"Riley?"

I blush,

"hi Lucas"

"I was wondering if"

there's a pause form his end of the line,

"maybe you wanted to hang out today"

my face lights up and I beam,

"yeah sure, meet you at Topangas in ten?"

he hesitates "uh yeah"

I mentally face palm myself,

I forgot I woke up early today, Lucas must think I'm crazy

oh well.

I walk over to the door and grab my jacket off the hook,

"I'm heading out!" I call in hopes somebody will hear.

As I take a step out wind blows nearly knocking me over, I shiver and wrap my jacket closer around my body. Whirls of wind entangle me and I am beginning to have second thoughts about heading out, but I push further.
