SPOILERS OF SCREAM IV❤️

Walking through the streets of New York I couldn't help but think. Reflect. The traumatic experiences that happened only a year before still lingered. Especially when I now needed therapy to get over it. Amber was my best friend. I had known her for five years before the incident. I don't even know what to call it. Incident. Mass murder? Slaughter? I couldn't believe that someone I trusted to deeply could betray me like that. As I was deep in thought I bumped into someone and I dropped my bag.

"Hey! Watch where you're-" I said before looking up at the person I had bumped into.

I stopped mid sentence when I saw him. Ethan Landry. Ethan and I dated for a year 5 years prior in high school. Ethan was my first love. Looking at him now I could barely believe my eyes. He looked way better now than he did in high school. So did I. He widened his eyes when he saw me. As his eyes traveled me up and down I couldn't help but stare back.

"Ethan?" I said surprised.

"Julie?" He laughed.

I took him in my arms and hugged him.

"You look so different" I said.

"So do you." He smiled.

"How are you?" I asked.

"I'm great actually. How are you?"

"I'm good."

"How has life been?" He asked.

"It's been good. My mom keeps saying she misses you for some reason." I laughed.

"Oh really? How is she?"

"She's good."

"It's so good to see you." He said.

We stood silent for a short while before I spoke up.

"Well I'm a little late to something. So I have to get going, but I hope to see you around." I said.

"Yeah of course. Sorry for bumping into you." He answered.

I nodded with a smile and kept walking. The whole interaction felt a little weird. He looked dorky on the outside but had a completely different personality hidden on the inside. I could tell. He had changed. I turned around to take one last look at him but he was gone. Weird. I kept walking however.

Soon after I reached a building. The therapists office. I took a deep breath in which I soon regretted since all of New York smells like cheap coffee and urine. God I missed Woodsboro. I knocked on the door, hearing the knocking sound echo on the other side. Since the door was made out of fogged glass I could see him approach before he opened the door. He had a friendly smile on his face.

His hair had turned gray and the beard along with it. Now, I'd never ask but I would say he's around 50 years old maybe? I walked in and sat down on a couch and he sat down on a chair. He had a home office where he took clients. His home was cozy but elegant. A lot of black detailing on the ceiling. He cleared his throat before he spoke.

"So ms. Madden. Last time you were here you spoke about how you're moving in with your friends. How has that been?"

"Well I moved in with Tara and Sam but we also took in someone else. Her name is Quinn. She's nice but noisy."

"That sounds good. And the nightmares?"

"What about them?" I said hesitantly.

"We'll have they subsided?"

"Yeah. All gone. All good." I said trying to convince him.

He tilted his head to the side and thinned his lips. He sighed before he took his pen and wrote in his notebook. I got a little anxious about what he was writing. He then looked up at me and continued.
