father headcanons--slipknot

-has a ton of pictures of you

-hear me out, listen to some emo music with him. it's an awesome time

-you're not too huge of a golf player, but driving a golf cart around as recklessly as possible will never get old

-those white and navy new balance dad sneakers

-dad jokes

-one could even say "dad to the bone"

-petting every dog you see out and about

-like paul, kinda sad that you're growing up so fast

Jim Root--

-very laid back dude

-going on drives a lot

-takes you out of school early on days where there's your favorite weather

-inside jokes

-"Y/n, do you want to go to the music store with me? I need new strings."

-"No, dad. You know it's going to be a whole thing before you find the strings you want and then you're gonna see a guitar you like and it's going to be an hour before you decide that it's a good investment and then I'm going to find a guitar I  want and I'm gonna do the same thing you do."

-"That sounds fun!"

-"Get your own damn strings"

-"It's not fun without you"

-"...fine I'll come"

-yes, it was indeed a three hour ordeal, but it was three hours well spent.

-very understanding when you share your struggles with him. He's supportive and gentle when approaching the topic of mental health 

Craig Jones--

-"Y/n! Come here, listen to what I just mixed!"

-pretty paranoid about you getting hurt on his mask

-he thinks you're one of the coolest people ever

-listens to whatever you have to say to him

-"Be safe out there, okay? Call me if you need anything"

-making synthesizer noises at each other

-a very important form of affection for him is to cut up some fruit and bring it to you

-with every milestone in your life, Craig would not  shut up about it. You took your first steps when Slipknot was living together to record in Iowa and it was a week before he would talk about anything else

Shawn Crahan--

-growing up around percussion

-"Do you wanna be a drummer like me?"

-"Dad, you get to hit kegs with baseball bats for a living of course I want to be like you"

-you have no idea how happy that made him to hear

-he's protective

-total teddy bear though--he loves to mess around with you and go to arcades

-coming onto sets of music videos

-he goes on a lot of walks with you

-dotes on you when you're sick. With his wife having been pretty sick before, he obsessively takes care of you when he catches a w h i f f that you're not feeling 100%

Mick Thomson--

-you really don't hear the words "I love you" a lot, but it's mostly unnecessary. you just kind of love each other 

-messing with each others' hair

-very aggressively supportive 

-"If someone ever tells you that you don't look absolutely kick fucking ass in that outfit, I'll beat em"

-not too openly affectionate, but his love comes more through making you meals, checking in on you, listening to music with you, and telling you he's proud of you

-Jim is your quintessential chill uncle

-cliche action movie nights

-he's a huge fan of all of your endeavors

-he wears cargo shorts and you make fun of him relentlessly for it

-being intimidating when out in public and obnoxiously blaring heavy shit in the car

Corey Taylor--

-"you listen to slayer AND YOU LOVE IT"

-lets you go to any concert you want as long as you don't go alone

-retro horror movies

-"You seemed kinda down lately, and even though I don't know what's going on, I'm here for you"

-great to hang out with if you're ever bored

-literally adores you

-you and griffin get up to mischief and tomfoolery together
