Chapter Eight, Part One: The Car Ride

-John's pov-
"Hey, question did you feel anything different while fighting Zeke," I ask glancing over to Sera. It had been a while since I had used my ability since the attack but since then I hadn't used it since "Nope mine's fine," Sera spoke before going into a sigh "But there is something I should tell you," Sera says while walking towards me, Lifting herself onto my bed  "None of group actually knows what that drug did to you but all we know is that your ability was weakened," Sera places her hand on my shoulder  "Doc should be working on a tonic that will bring your ability back fully," Sera explained as she moves her thumb in a comforting way "Gee no wonder Zeke was able to kick my ass today" I say as Sera starts to crack into a laughter "It's okay we'll figure out who's doing this," Sera says as she tries to calm down her laughing "Now come on we still need to finish your bag," Sera says pulling herself off the bed as I follow.

!Tomorrow! (John pov)
"ISEN YOU DAMN MONKEY, GET YOUR ASS BACK HERE!," Blyke yelled as he chased after Isen with Remi behind him, As Isen turns to hide behind me, "What he'd do this time?," I ask while throwing my bag in "Oh i don't know," Blyke says in a joking manner "Threw water on Remi which almost electrocuted me," Blyke growled while glaring at Isen as I take a glance towards Isen then at Blyke before turning towards Isen pulling him in front of me "Not my problem," I say as I shrug my shoulder "Take him," I say shooing him away "Anywho are you guys ready to go?," I ask "Yup we can't wait to start getting on the road!," Remi cheered before walking off "Wonder where-," I think before spotting Sera talking to Arlo and Elaine as I walk towards them.

"You guys ready to go?," I ask, Sera leans her head onto my chest "Were all ready so we can head whenever," Sera responds as I place my hand in her hair " This is going to be awful, Driving with two monkeys an portable charger and Satan," Arlo groans "Awh Well it sounds like a you problem not a me problem," I say as Arlo shoots me a glare "Gee if anybody asked me to drive I probably would've," I say as Sera looks up at me "You can drive?," Sera questions "Thought you knew mostly because I've handed you my license," I respond as I glance towards Arlo "If your expecting me to sit in the driver seat and drive a two to three hour trip your wrong Arlo," I spoke as I still mess with Sera's hair "Wasn't even gonna try you'll probably drive us all of a cliff to our sudden death," Arlo says before walking towards the driver seat of the RV "Eh maybe I will," I say as Sera uses her other arm to elbows me "Don't say that, We've talked about that haven't we," Sera responded "Fineee," I groan "Also that elbow actually hurt,"  I utter as Sera grins "Got a good trainer maybe you and him should meet," Sera jokes as Elaine and I laugh before somebody yells  "If you guys wanna make it to the beach before sunset we better get going we," Arlo yells as Sera lifts her body off me before turning to me" Ladies first," I say bowing in the process as Sera and Elaine smirk and giggle at me "Alrighty then," Elaine says walking with Sera and me behind.

-Seraphina's pov-
Driving to the beach wasn't quick at all, Isen kept trying to get secrets out of us. Blyke and Remi watched anime together. Arlo was in charge of driving while Elaine was his GPS, As for me and John we were playing the newest flappy pig game. Though I couldn't focus my game just because there was something floating in the back of my head about Keon from yesterday all cause of something he'd said. My thoughts were interrupted by someone yelling "UGHH You guys are so boring," Isen yells as Blyke shoots him a glare "Boring?, All you wanna do is figure out our secrets," Remi states crossing her arms "We're almost at our first rest stop," Elaine says popping her head out "We'll be there around 10 minutes," Elaine says looking back towards the front window

"So what exactly should we do?," Blyke asks "We could either throw Isen out of the car or figure something out," John says glancing at Isen as he smirks at him, I elbow John while laughing as the others start laughing with me "Let's figure something else, That doesn't involve hurting Isen John," I say giggling "How about spin the bottle?," Remi says pulling out a bottle "I'm in," John and I say making our heads turn towards each other "I'll play," Isen says "Alright," Blyke says as we all create a small circle, As Remi places the bottle spinning it fast as she could making it landing on Isen as Remi and Isen both give glances to each other "You don't have to do it-," Isen says before Remi quickly gives Isen a small peck on the cheek before going back to her spot "Didn't think she would do it.," Isen says before lifting his hand towards the bottle and spinning it as fast as he could landing on Blyke "Just do it already," Blyke says as Isen kisses him on the cheek as Isen finishes the kiss Blyke wipes his face off as he reaches for the bottle spinning it as it lands on Remi making Blyke blush lightly as he leans toward kissing Remi on the cheek pulling away with a bright red face as a tomato "I'm done I'm not playing anymore," Blyke says covering his face pushing his body away from the group "I guess I'll go next," I say grabbing the bottle spinning it slowly, Watching it slowly stop on one person making me blush from seeing who the bottle picked

John.

"Uhm don't worry Sera you don't have to.," John says, making me blush hard "Wait, Does Seraphina have a crush on Joh-," Isen says before I slap Isen mouth shut before he could finish that sentence. It was true, I had fallen for John's kind, dreamy, and supportive self hard, Though there wasn't anything wrong with him he was always there for me I just hope he felt the same way I did towards me..."Sera.?," A male voice says snapping me out of my world and realizing John was up against me trying to call out to me "H-Huh John?, Sorry kinda zoned out..," I say making eye contact with his worried amber eyes "You okay, You kinda zoned out," John says with a worried tone "I'm okay John, I was just thinking about some stuff," I say forming a smile towards him as his worried face disappears to a warm smile that I had loved "So uh I guess I kinda have to kiss you now," John says before leaning into my face closing his eyes as I close mine before a voice interrupts it-

"We're here!!," Elaine calls out as everybody starts getting up leaving the Rv, As John starts lifting his body from mine "Awh my lovely joker won't be able to kiss his goddess," I say giggling as John comes back down to my level "Don't worry I'll get my kiss," John says smirking at me as I lightly blush "Do I need to help up my goddess?,"John asks before lifting his body again before he reaches his hand down my level "Why thank you Mr. Joker," I say gracefully grabbing his hand "Oh my lovely goddess, Do you need your gown dusted off from all that dirt." John says before both me and him start laughing making our way out of the RV.

As the gang finds snacks drinks and merch, John and his friends had been watched this entire time since packing their stuff into the RV to the gas station by multiple groups sent by Mr. K. Watching their target like a hawk to make sure nobody had found out about the tracker on them.

John's pov

Walking in with Sera as the others grabbed whatever they needed or wanted, I kept feeling like something or someone had been watching us for a while It would have been a lot easier if my ability was at full charge I could've been able to sense any funky aura that was had an add-on or a drug to amp it, But as of right now, my ability isn't as strong as it used to be. "Oh my gosh, John!," Sera calls out to me snapping me out of my world as Sera pulls my arm pointing at something "They have Slappy Pig merch!," Sera says as i grab a hat from the shelf "We barely have any snacks, And your already buying merchandise," I say smirking at her as she starts to hand me stuff "Well this is also important and you know it," She says putting a Slappy Pig hat on her head "Just make sure your human shopping bag has space," I say as she comes a little closer to my face "Then if my "Human shopping bag" doesn't have any more space, Then he won't be getting the thing he wants," She says in a flirty tone as I back up a bit blushing from her comment as she smirks at me, Making me blush harder as she starts giggling "Your face is so red," She says laughing before i crack and start laughing myself.

"You are right Isen, They are in love," Remi says "They'd be a cute couple," Elaine says walking towards Remi Blyke and Isen "You guys shouldn't be spying on them," Arlo responds "It's their love life that we shouldn't interrupt," Arlo says before walking away "Don't worry i ship them," Remi says before grabbing Elaine "What would their ship name be?," Elaine asks as Isen and Blyke walk away to find more snacks as Remi and Elaine gasp at the same time "JERAPHINA!!," They both yell at the same time before jumping up and down and squealing

"Girls are weird," Isen says before getting slapped in the back of his head "Dude don't say that your even weirder than them," Blyke says before Isen looks over at Arlo "I don't want to be pulled into your disagreement but, I'm agreeing with Blyke," Arlo shakes his head before heading towards the check-out counter.
