Chapter 9

Hinata's heart sank as she quickly turned around. "Oh no," she muttered under her breath, knowing that Susanoo had figured out her true identity. "This is so messed up," he said, holding his head in his hands. Hinata looked at him in shock. "H-How did you know?" she stuttered out. Susanoo ran his hand through his hair and let out a deep sigh. "It's me. Sasuke," he said, finally revealing his true identity. Hinata's eyes widened in disbelief and she let out a scream.

Sasuke quickly covered Hinata's mouth with his hand to prevent her from screaming, "Shh, or someone will call the police," he growled. Once he saw that she wouldn't scream, he let her go. "Oh my god. This is so weird," she said, covering herself with the sheets. "I just had sex with my best friend without realizing it." Sasuke took off the condom and threw it away before putting his boxers back on. He stood there, looking at her with his blue eyes scanning her face. "Yeah, it's weird," he said while running his hand through his hair. It was undeniable that he was drawn to her body, and the sensation of holding her close left a lingering desire in his mind. Her curves fit perfectly against him, and every touch sent shivers down his spine. The way her skin felt against his was almost intoxicating, and he couldn't help but want more. It was a dangerous game, he knew, but the temptation was too strong to resist. Despite his better judgment, he found himself wanting to experience that feeling again and again. She looked up at him, still in shock about what had just happened.

They stayed in an awkward silence both unsure of what to do. "We can't let this happen again," he said, breaking the silence. Although he was tempted to suggest it, he knew that it wouldn't be appropriate to say, 'Do you want to go again?' while she was visibly upset in front of him.

Hinata nodded, her emotions in turmoil. "I know," she said softly, feeling guilty for what they had done but also unable to deny the desire she felt. She shook her head, trying to clear her thoughts. She couldn't believe that this was her childhood best friend, who she had become estranged from. No wonder some of the stories he had shared sounded so familiar. Hinata groaned, leaning against the bed frame. How had they not realized it sooner?

Suddenly, Hinata's eyes widened in realization. "What about Sakura?" she asked, her voice tinged with panic. Sasuke shrugged nonchalantly. "What she doesn't know won't hurt her. Besides, this was just a one-time thing," he said, seemingly unconcerned. Hinata's stomach twisted with guilt at the thought of betraying her friend's trust.

Hinata bit her lip, unsure of what to say or do. "I just don't want to hurt anyone," she said finally, her voice barely above a whisper. Sasuke sighed, running a hand through his hair. "I know," he said. "But we can't take it back. All we can do is move forward and try to do the right thing." Hinata nodded, feeling tears well up in her eyes. She knew that he was right, but it was hard to face the consequences of their actions. Sasuke walked over to her, pulling her into a tight embrace. "Sorry," he said, his voice soft.

Sasuke sighed, looking at her with a mix of frustration and understanding. "Look, Hinata. We messed up. Big time. But we can't undo what happened." He paused for a moment, taking a deep breath. "We just have to keep this between us. We'll pretend like it never happened and move on."

Hinata looked at him, her eyes still filled with tears. She knew that Sasuke was right, but it didn't make the situation any easier. "I just don't know if I can keep this a secret from Naruto. He's my ex or boyfriend or whatever and I don't want to lie to him."

Sasuke put a hand on her shoulder, giving her a small smile. "I know it's hard, but we have to do what's best for everyone. And that means keeping this to ourselves." He leaned in and kissed her forehead. "We'll figure it out. Together."

"How am I going to kiss you knowing that you're my best friend for the paparazzi? This is crazy." She said, Sasuke looked into her red eyes. "We just have to pretend. It'll be weird for a little while but we will get used to it." Hinata nods.
