A Soldier's Misery

It's 1pm when I woke up. I don't have something to do today and I decided to go shopping. Alas 2 nang matapos ako kaya bumaba na at naisipan kumain nalang sa restaurant bago mag shopping. I wanna pampered myself today. Nasa labas na ako ng unit ko ng maisip ko ang susi ng kotse. Hinanap ko muna sa bag pero kahit baliktarin ko ito hindi ko mahanap.

"Damn! Where's my key? "I mumbled as I continue finding the key inside my bag. Binuksan ko ulit ang unit ko at hinanap sa loob.

"There you go " the key is in the dining table. Akala ko nailagay ko na sa bag kanina hindi pa pala.

Nang buksan ko ang pinto ay sakto ding bumukas ang pinto ng kapitbahay ko. Nagkagulatan pa kami pero mabilis ding nag iwas ng tingin. I lock my door and went to lift. And I guess palabas din siya kaya pumasok narin sa lift.

"Bakit hindi mo ako pinapansin? Why are you so distant and cold? " bungad ni Skyler pagkapasok niya.

"Me"  tinuro ko pa ang sarili ko. Like what the hell!

"We are the only person in this elevator Sarriene then, if it's not you who else" he raised his dark eyebrows. His voice is still soothing  despite his words.

"Kinausap nga kita kagabi eh" ani ko at nagkibit balikat tapos inayos ang strap ng bag ko.

He smirked at lumapit sa akin. He hold my chin making me face him. We both looking at each other eyes and I'm lost now because the way he look at me is making my heart beat fast.

"I'm not going to marry anyone now. " sabi niya. Umiwas ako ng tingin at tinanggal ang kamay niya sa baba ko.

"And so " I rolled my eyes. Hindi pala magpapakasal.

"That means I'm not flirting with anyone and it's only you. " Napalunok ako sa sinabi niya kaya ibinaba ko ang tingin sa sahig.

"I'm talking to you. Look at me please " itinaas ko kaagad ang aking mga tingin patungo sa kanya.

"Then, why are you planning on marrying Allison in the first place "

Bumuntong hininga siya at umayos ng tayo at pareho na kaming nakatingin sa harap.

"It's not my decision though. Its mom. Back then, I'm not really serious when it come to marriages, I don't care about it. I just to go with the flow. Marry then have child inherent my hardwork and company to them and continue the family legacy. It never matter to me until" he stopped and look at me seriously.

"Until you came " he said straight to my eyes. I am shocked at his sudden outburst.

"Isn't it clear that I like you and I don't want to marry Allison because I don't like her" anito kasabay ng pagbukas ng elevator. Hinawakan niya ang kamay ko at hinila palabas.

"Let's eat first before we continue this. I want you to know my feelings for you but it can wait, your stomach can't " sabi niya at pinagbuksan ako ng pinto. I am between shocked and embarrassed.

Dinala at kumain kami sa isang mamahaling restaurant. I like the seafood he order and it's smell so delicious that's why naparami ang kain ko. I was giggling when he poured me some wine.

"Thanks " I said. Dahil naging abala ako sa pagkain hindi ko na naramdaman na kanina pa pala niya ako pinagmamasdan. He look at me every now and then like I will vanish as bubble if he would look away.

"You done " he said and I nodded. He call for the bill at lumabas kami ng restaurant. To my surprise nakasalubong ko si Zailer at Hellios, her husband.
I hug her tightly because the last time we met is in the bar.
