Mondegreen.
One of the many things I look up on Wikipedia
When I'm bored and the world seems too small.
How many random bits of knowledge have I accumulated,
And how much has been lost to the wind?
Is this how I'm destined to spend my days?
Reading and researching
And nothing more.
Is this poem even good?
What is good, really though,
Because honestly I don't think I know.
Google tells me good is an adjective,
Meaning to be desired or approved of;
Or a noun meaning that which is morally right.
How should I lay out my poem?
Are words on a page enough
Or should I be spacing out
Each
Word
Like
This?
Who knows...
Not me, anyway.
Maybe I'll ask Wikipedia.
Oh wait, I got distracted.
But don't you want to know what poiesis means?
I know I do.
