You are that last cookie everybody wants

But nobody has the guts to claim.

You are that abandoned house my ghost haunts.

The isolated one that burnt down in flames.

You are that billboard that seems to be everywhere in town.

You are the last ray of sun in the ugly weather.

You are that kid that got beaten down,

And the bully who laughed at her.

You are the little girl ashamed of her weight,

The little boy who always seems to amaze.

You are that movie everybody loves to hate,

That "wonderful" book English teachers praise.

You are that memory that slowly vanishes,

The one that constantly comes back when you walk out.

You are that TV-show everybody watches,

That new product everyone talks about.

You are that dress the whole world wants to see,

To try and guess which color it really is.

You are the best friend and the worst enemy.

The shy guy in the corner and the extrovert at all the parties.

You are the bruises, the pain and the paper the cuts.

You are all the cheats, the lies, the truth unspoken.

You are that poem every kid knows by heart,

The one adults wish they had never forgotten.

You are that song I finally erased from my phone but can't get out of my mind.

You are all the lonely and lost things I will never find.

You are that question everybody asks and nobody truthfully answers to.

I am not okay. Oh, if only you knew.
