Imran's passion for cricket developed during his time at Oxford University. He began playing for the university team, and his talent soon caught the attention of cricket fans and selectors. In 1971, he made his debut for Pakistan in an international match against England.

Imran quickly established himself as a key player for the Pakistani cricket team, known for his fast bowling and all-round abilities. He played in several World Cups and helped lead Pakistan to victory in the 1992 tournament, where he served as the team captain.

Throughout his cricket career, Imran was known for his dedication and hard work. He was a fierce competitor on the field and commanded respect from his teammates and opponents alike. In addition to his success on the cricket pitch, Imran also pursued a higher education, earning a degree in economics and politics from Keble College, Oxford University
