It was the next day, and Onika has been looking over her shoulder the whole day. It was almost 4 o'clock and the man who goes by the name Matías was nowhere to be found.

Onika had gone to work earlier, she had a shorter shift today and decided she wanted to hangout with her good friend, Halle after work since she heard on the news, good weather was supposed to come.

Halle has been Onika's friend since grade school. They were always two peas in a pod, Onika liked Halle because she was never boring and wild which sometimes could turn out bad and get them two in trouble but they never cared.

It was beautiful outside, the sun was out, the flowers were blooming and the air was warm. Onika and Halle were in Halle's car driving around the city to see where did they wanna start spending money first.

They decided on one of their favorite clothing boutiques that was owned by one of Halle's cousins.

They stepped into the store and were greeted by Halle's cousin then were taken to the aisles full of all nice colorful dresses and track suits. Onika and Halle immediately started picking up many hangers of clothing and ran to the try on
rooms.

"Nik, do you think this looks too big on me?" Halle asked, showing Onika the oversized Tupac Shakur graphic tee she tried on. Halle had seen Onika had been zoning out the whole time they were together and was wondering what's on her friend's mind.

"No, I think you look good. I like the shirt." Onika said still not really there.

"Girl what's your problem, you look like you have a lot on your mind, like you are bothered." Onika didn't really wanna tell Halle what happened yesterday with Matias, she felt like she was gonna overreact and Onika was 100% sure that this man will eventually give up and go to the next chick.

"Nothing, I'm fine." Onika lied terribly.

"Bullshit." Halle said.

"Halle, I promise I'm okay." Onika smiled but Halle could tell something was up but decided to leave it alone.

"Whatever it's probably because you need to get laid." Halle said, mentioning how Onika stopped having sex after her first relationship.

Onika wasn't really trying to focus on anyone right now but herself. She was doing online classes for real estate and also working all the time trying to save up for her own place and car. No lie, Onika loved living with her grandma but she still really wanted her own and in order to get her own she had to put her mind to it, no distractions.

"Girl my vagina is fine." She lied again. Onika knew every now and then she wanted her pussy demolished but she tried her best to fight those feelings.

"No thank you Nik, I love my sexually active life." Halle laughed, putting some clothes on the clothing rack and taking the rest with her to pay for.

The sun was setting and after they were done with their shopping spree, they decided to get some food from the food trucks that were outside by the curb of the sidewalk.

"Yes and can we get extra salsa with that taco bowl too?" Onika asked the man in the food truck, filling up the tortilla with chicken and the other with beef. He nodded, answering Onika.

"$24.30." the other man said standing at the cash register.
Onika and Halle started looking in their purses for money but someone beat them to it.

"I'll pay for the pretty ladies." The man who was next in line offered. Onika turned around and met with dark deep brown eyes, the man was cute, he had dimples and pretty chocolate skin.
He held out two twenty dollar bills and gave it to the man.

"Keep the change." He told the man. The man thanked him in return and Halle and Onika both grabbed their taco bowls.

"Girl you better get with that." Halle whispered over to Onika. The man was attractive, had a good taste in style from what Onika was seeing and smelled amazing but he wasn't Him.

"Thank you, we really appreciate it." Nicki said to the man who was smirking at Onika.

"No problem." The man looked at her and licked his lips. Onika smiled and was about to walk away.

"Oh wait hold on, what's your name?" The man stopped Onika from walking away by lightly placing his hand on her shoulder.

"Onika." She simply said.

"Onika." He let her name roll off his tongue slowly. "Well I'm Leon, I was wondering if you had a man, I'm tryna get your number."

Leon scratched the back of his head, clearly nervous. Onika ate her food as she watched him talk and she looked at the white Nike sweat suit he had on and topped it with a gold name plate necklace Big L  it read.
He sure did look good.

"Yeah I'm single but I'm n-" To Onika's surprise her mouth was clamped shut realizing Halle had placed her hand over mouth.

"She's single... just single ." Halle smiled.

"Alright.." The man chuckled a little.
"Here take my number."

Halle handed him Onika's phone which was already unlocked. Onika looked at Halle like she was crazy, she didn't even know how she got her phone, she swore she had it in her purse.

"I have my ways." Halle said to Onika. She simply rolled her eyes

"Give me a call, we can hangout sometime." He handed Onika her phone. She looked at what he put himself in her contacts as.

Onika cringed a little at the emoji but thought it was cute. She just smiled at him and waved goodbye, not really sure if she
was gonna give him a call anytime soon.

Onika and Halle ended their day and went back home. Halle really tried convincing Onika to give the dude Leon a call, Onika told her she would think about it. Which was better than nothing so Halle let her be and said their goodbyes.

Onika was now home where she put the leftovers from her taco bowl in the fridge. Her grandma left a note on the table saying she had to run to the hospital because of some appointment but why would she have a doctor's appointment scheduled at 9 PM, Onika shrugged her shoulders thinking nothing of it.

She quickly got a spoon and a tub of caramel coffee ice cream then sat down on the couch. Onika flicked through the TV channels finally making it to her favorite show, she watched amused.

Ring ring

Onika looked over at her phone annoyed, she picked up her ringing phone and looked who was calling.

'Unknown ID caller' the phone read. Onika hit the decline button but quickly after her phone started ringing again from the same number. She picked up the phone and answered.

"Hello." She paused her show to hear better.
Silence was all she heard. Getting irritated, she said hello again.

"I've missed you, princesa."
