I heard Dave full-on gasp. "Oh dear Lord, you are a lost cause. I suggest you scrap it and take Y/n out for real food."

"What! No Dave you have to help me-"

I was cut off when I heard a knock on my door. I whipped my head to the clock and saw that it was 7:30. Fuck, her punctuality is not working in my favor right now.

"That sounded like a knock, good luck! Ciao Bella! I can't wait to hear about this tomorrow." Rossi said excitedly as he hung up.

I frantically ran around the kitchen fixing things before heading to the door. As soon as I opened it my nerves were instantly calmed by her bright smile. Although my gaze switched from her lips to her floral dark green dress that hugged her body perfectly.

"I brought cookies for dessert! They're not homemade or anything but I was at the store and I saw them and I know that red velvet is your favorite so I had to buy them!" Y/n rambled on as she walked in and a huge smile was left on my face. How the hell did I get so lucky?

"They also had a cake but I wasn't sure if you liked buttercream frosting-"

I cut Y/n off by pressing my lips to hers. It had only been a couple of hours but god I missed her lips so much. I could feel her smile into the kiss as her arms wrapped around my waist pulling me closer. I could just get lost in her lips.

She pulled away softly, "Hi," She said with a smile

"You look beautiful," I said as I pulled Y/n in for another kiss and brought my hands to the side of her face, "You look beautiful as well, Emily." She smiled against my lips and I felt myself melt. After a couple of seconds, Sergio planted himself in between Y/n and me.

Y/n pulled away softly with a laugh as she bent down to pick up Sergio. "Did you miss me?" She cooed as she pet the top of his head. He purred as he snuggled into her arms. My heart warmed at the sight.

"Ooh! What did you make? It smells good!" Y/n said walking to the kitchen as she put Sergio down. Oh no, I forgot about that part.

"I- Uh, I don't know if you'll like it. Why don't we just go out to eat?" I asked as I followed her to the kitchen hoping she would agree. But of course, Y/n had to be a beacon of optimism.

"I'm sure I'll love whatever you made Emily." She said with a smile as she grabbed the spoon off the counter. I immediately reached for her hand and stopped her before she could dip it in the pan. "I really insist you don't try it," I said biting my lip nervously.

She laughed as she shrugged off my hand, "Oh come on, it can't be that bad!" She said as she took a spoonful into her mouth. Oh yes, it can be that bad...

I winced as she tasted it and could tell she was forcing herself to swallow it. Dear god, this is not off to a great start.

"It's uh, not that bad!" She said with a smile that made me groan. I think I would have rather her spit it out.

"Maybe I can help you fix it!" She said as she tapped the tip of my nose and it made me blush. Although it also made me raise an eyebrow because I've never seen her eat anything other than a sandwich for lunch and I'm guessing the reason behind that isn't because she really likes the sandwich.

"Oh! Do you have cheese!" She said excitedly. I laughed as I headed to the fridge to grab some.

"My mother always said there's nothing a little alcohol and cheese couldn't fix." Y/n with a giggle as I heard her move around the kitchen.

I furrowed my eyebrows as I heard her turn up the heat and watched as she picked up a bottle of vodka instead of wine. Oh No.

"Y/n wait!" I yelled, however, it was too late as I watched her pour the vodka into the pan over the flame, which caused the contents in the pan to catch on fire. Y/n yelped as she lept back from the fire and almost fell onto the ground but I caught her in time.
