I step out of my bedroom and see all of my aunts and cousins talking with smiles on their faces. "Hey everyone" I say interrupting them and my aunt Hestia comes up to me with a smile on her face tears streaming down "oh my darling niece, they found her, isn't it such a blessing!" she says overjoyed
"Yes theia i know, I'm very happy." I say with a small smile on my face. "sit my child, everyone just left we are waiting for news." she says and I smile scanning the room to see if Iris went with them. I finally see her in the kitchen sitting on the counter with a bottle of tequila. i walk over to her and smile sitting next to her.
"why didn't you go?" I ask her taking the bottle she offered me. "your father and mine said it would be better if I didn't go since i'm so close to Aura." she says and I just said 'oh'. "your boyfriend is outside by the way." she says and I look at her confused before looking towards the door
she nods her head letting me know she'll cover for me and I smile. I jump off of the counter and walk out of the hotel room seeing Matteo on his phone leaning against the wall across from my door. He's wearing an all black outfit and I swear this is my favorite thing of his ive ever seen him wear...them gray sweatpants don't count.
"hi.." I say shutting the door behind me walking all the way into the hallway. Matteo shoves his phone into his pocket and pushes himself off of the wall. "I'm going to get your sister." he says breaking the silence. "yeah, I realized" I say awkwardly.
"how you holdin up?" he asks and I just stay silent for a second "I don't know, of course i'm excited to see my sister but its been 10 years, I'm just scared I guess." I say truthfully. Matteo walks towards me and wraps his arms around my waist and i don't move.
"wrap your arms around my neck." he says and I do so. we sit there for like a minute before he lets go. "when was the last time you've hugged someone" he jokes. I actually don't know..."I'm going to get your sister and everything will be alright." he says I open my mouth to say something but his phone rings. he picks up the phone and then looks at me and I nod knowing he has to go.
I wait for him to reach the elevator before going inside of the hotel room. celeste walks up to me and tells me Iris is in the bedroom and I smile and thank her.
really short chapter but I'm kind of debating on making the next chapter in Matteo's pov
