Percy POV:

"Just like old times Annie." I shout over the screams of monsters to my sister who is defending my back. We always fought back to back. I wouldn't trust anyone else except Annabeth to have my back. Save for Thalia, Grover, Hazel, Frank, Jason, Piper, and Leo. But I trust Annabeth the most as she will always be there for me.

"Stay focused Percy." Wise girl's voice broke through my thoughts and I stabbed a monster just before it got to me. I saw Leo and Jason heading to Gaea is and it reminded me of the line in the prophecy, "to storm or fire, the world must fall". I was still skeptical, wow big words, about it. Was Jason really the storm? His father wasn't exactly the most stormy of people. And wasn't my father called the Stormbringer for a reas-

"OH MY GODS!!" My shout broke my own train of thought. Jason and storm, no. How could I have been so stupid? Such a seaweed brain, honestly.

"WHAT?" Annabeth looked ready for anything, gods I loved my sister. She was wise, cool, fun and all around awesome with her calculating grey eyes and stunning princess. I probably sound gay right now and if you assumed that you are half correct. I'm bi. However, I don't really have romantic feelings for Annabeth, she's more like a sister to me than anything else. Wait, what am I doing? Right, stupid ADHD.

"Storm. Jupiter or Zeus is not the Stormbringer, my father is. Poseidon, god of the seas. Earthshaker and Stormbringer. Jason isn't meant to be there." She stared at me for a good long minute before facepalming and saying something about getting Jason away from Gaea. I didn't hear all of it because I was heading towards Gaea already, making sure to gain her attention and divert it from Jason, Piper and Leo.

"HEY, QUEEN DIRT FACE! DOWN HERE YOU UGLY BRUTE!" I kept on shouting profanities like those to get her attention. Good new; it worked. Bad news; it worked. While doing that, I made sure to be as subtle as possible when controlling the water from the lake and freezing it beneath Gaea's feet to remove contact with the Earth. I kept on freezing multiple layers until we were at least a foot and a half off the ground on an ice platform the size of half a football field. Gaea looked livid but I made sure to freeze her feet in place.

"LEO! JASON! PIPER, GET OUT OF HERE!" I made sure to scream their names loudly so that they could hear and get out of the way. In my peripheral vision I saw Annabeth explaining why they needed to move. All 3 of them looked conflicted about leaving me to deal with a primordial butthole by myself but I didn't want any of them to get hurt.

"Release me Perseus Jackson or you will suffer a fate worse than death." man cliché much? Seriously, everyone says that to me. I sometimes just give them this deadpan look that I think makes them feel stupid but this one time I feel like being annoying, as per the usual Percy way.

"Ugh, cliché much," yes I said that and I continued with, "BE ORIGINAL." I think I pissed her off more. Oh well, today is a great day to die as after this I would have to return to school. As long as my family live then me dying is fine. Not like I actually am that necessary. Gaea is glaring at me but her frozen feet are still frozen which is crazy because I lost concentration like 1 second after freezing her feet.

Soon enough she does eventually break out of her frozen feet (but not before I taunt, annoy and cut as many places on her useless physical form as I can) and tries to call the Earth to her but it is cancelled out by the minor earthquake I am causing. Yes, I can create miniature earthquakes. Deal with it.

I was holding up a miniature earthquake that I have to control so that it doesn't hurt the campers. Clearly, I was tiring out and I had beads of sweat running down my face and neck. So of course, my oh so brilliant great grandmother was fair and attacked me. I managed to get riptides up in time to block her weird reinforced Earthen scythe-thing. It created a shockwave that sent many monsters and demigods flying back.

Minutes flew by and we were locked in combat of weapons. I used my superior speed and agility to my advantage. She was cracking through the ice quicker than I could reform it. I had to end this quickly. Just before I could execute my move a heart wrenching scream tore through the battle field. A spike of earth was retracting into the ground but I knew who it was.

I saw red!

Annabeth POV:

After my conversation with Percy, I was able to tell Jason, Piper and Leo why they needed to get out of the way. All the monsters were destroyed and Octavion exploded in a ball of fire. The remaining demigods stood and watched Percy and Gaea's duel. It was incredible how they moved in a perfectly deadly dance. Sparks flew when their weapons clashed. Gaea's rock solid form of fighting versus Percy's flowing Greek/Roman style of fighting.

The injured demigods were being moved to the infirmary but most demigods were fine and watched with held breath as Percy carried on battling. Her style was unpredictable. In the short time she had been with the Romans she had managed to integrate their style with the Greek style and it seemed like a totally different style. The perfect amount of flowing and form.

Watching her battle made me see the leader I followed. The Percy I knew she would be from when we first met. My sister was proving herself the best when an unimaginable pain struck my chest. I saw Percy's eyes flash darker as they met my grey ones.

The it was black.

Third Person POV:

Gaea was laughing maniacally in the background as Percy looked straight at Annabeth. Just before Annabeth fell, their eyes met. Annabeth's was filled with pain, while Percy's were filled with anger. Percy truly lived up to her name. She destroyed Gaea. Her strikes too fast, her dodges were beyond visible. She was just a flash of black hair.

In mere seconds a laughing Gaea had been reduced to a shocked face, which quickly turned to inconceivable dread and panic. Percy relished the look Gaea was giving her. She wanted to make Gaea feel her pain. She wanted her revenge.

As Riptide broke through Gaea's chest, Percy refused to say heart believing Gaea doesn't have one, a movement below her caught her eye. It happened in slow motion.
