𝐘𝐨𝐮 𝐠𝐫𝐨𝐚𝐧𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐬 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐬𝐮𝐧 𝐡𝐢𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮𝐫 face, attempting to turn away from it only to realize you couldn't move an inch. You forced yourself to open your eyes. The light shone softly through the skylights, and you looked up to see Nagi draped over you, long limbs caging you against him. You tried to move, but it seemed like the more you squirmed, the more his grip on you tightened. You finally gave up, sighing as you fell back to lean on him, but you couldn't bring yourself to be frustrated. He had stayed with you, not batting an eye when you broke down and even blamed him for what happened, and he didn't push you for any details. He just stayed with you and comforted you the best way he could. You sighed, closing your eyes, the warmth of his body beginning to lull you back to sleep.

He was so warm.

You stopped before you could doze off and instead, took the time to carefully detangle yourself from him before walking into the kitchen. You looked through your grandfather's cookbook, eyes stopping on a recipe for homemade pancakes. You turned to Nagi, who was still fast asleep, and smiled to yourself. Pancakes seemed like a good way to thank him for his help. You gathered the ingredients, connecting your phone to the speaker and playing soft music at a low volume as you put on your apron, ready to get to work.

Nagi shivered against the cold air that hit him, moving to hug you closer, only to realize you were no longer there. He felt around for a moment, eyes shooting open when he realized you weren't anywhere on the couch. He looked around the living room frantically but stopped when he heard soft music and the sound of sizzling. He turned to see you standing in the kitchen, hips swaying with the music while you stood at the stove. He couldn't help but smile, happy you were back to normal and not crying anymore, and pride swelled within him at the fact that he was the reason you were happy again.

"Hurt...Nagi..."

He could still hear your whispers, feel you curling into him as if whoever hurt you was coming back. He hated seeing you that way and would bring an end to anyone that would reduce you to such a state. He watched you flip the last pancake, letting out a pleased hum when it came out perfectly. You stacked three pancakes on his plate, topping it with whipped cream and fruit before doing the same with yours. You stepped back to marvel at the display that would've made your grandfather proud.
"Nagi!" You called, turning to wake him up. "Time to wake—" You were cut off by your scream of surprise when you turned around to see the dark eyes of the male staring directly at you. "Damn creep!" You shouted, throwing the spatula at him. Your scream caught him off guard, and he couldn't stop the kitchen tool from hitting him right between the eyes. Nagi groaned as he fell back against the cushions, rolling over and off the couch as he held his sore nose.
"You're so mean!" He cried as he used the couch to pull himself up. You glared at him, grabbing the two plates you had prepared as you walked over to the table.
"And you're rude for just sitting there staring at me," you said as you set the plates down. "Now come eat."

"But I like looking at you," Nagi pouted as he stalked over to the table to sit across from you, but his eyes lit up at the display before him. The perfectly swirled whipped cream topped with blueberries and diced strawberries made it look like something from a food magazine.
"Wow, Y/n, this looks amazing!" He exclaimed. "I never imagined you could cook this good!" You couldn't help but grin proudly at the compliment.
"This is nothing," you scoffed. "You should see my grandfather's cooking. He's like a master chef." Nagi was hardly listening as he sloppily cut them up. "How long have you been up anyway?" You asked curiously as you did the same, but he merely shrugged.
"Few minutes," he replied as he drenched his pancakes in syrup. "Got cold." You raised a brow, feeling pretty warm yourself.
"I don't know how," you said. "The AC isn't on, and I covered you back up before I left." Nagi looked up at you, speaking with a mouthful of food.
"'s always cold without you." You were caught off guard, wanting to laugh but knowing by the look in his eyes that he wasn't joking. You lowered your head, stuffing some food into your mouth to hide your embarrassment.
"You're so dramatic."
