JIMIN POV

I flip through a furniture
catalog as I wait for at least
one of them to emerge from
the bedroom.

I can't concentrate on the
pages in front of me because I keep looking toward the closed door at the back of the plane.

Maybe I should switch seats
so it isn't in my line of sight.

I can't stop wondering what they're talking about in there.

Well... I'm pretty sure what they're talking about is me.

And I'm one hundred percent sure it isn't an entirely happy conversation, judging by the back and forth raised voices I could hear from the bathroom.

In my mind's eye I can picture them in there arm wrestling or playing rock-paper-scissors to decide who gets to fuck me next.

I roll my eyes.

How in the hell did I end up
in this crazy position?

Being trapped on a luxurious
jet with two horny billionaires sounds like a dream come true.

But the reality is challenging,
to say the least.

The bedroom door finally
opens and I realize that it probably looks like I'm staring
at them as they're coming out—which technically I guess I am but it's more of a daydreaming kind of stare.

I quickly look back down at my magazine but then I fumble
it, nearly dropping it between
my legs and managing to look like a complete idiot in front of both brothers.

They're probably wondering
why they're trusting me with millions of their dollars right
now.

Which would be a valid
concern, I have to admit.

I'm a little worried about it, too.

"Sorry to keep you waiting out here by yourself." Jungkook says, giving me a terse smile as he takes his seat across from me.

"We had a couple of issues to iron out."

"All better now." Guk chimes in, draping himself in one of the overstuffed seats on the row opposite ours.

"Just a little brotherly disagreement."

"Nothing to worry about."

"Okay." I say, glancing from
one man to the other.

"Great."

"I was hoping we could go
over some of the details about the chateau." It really is jarring seeing them together.

But even though I don't technically know them that
well, I'm already starting to
pick up on the little differences that set them apart.

Guk is quick to smile and laugh, but Jungkook always seems
more sincere.

Guk likes to pass himself off
as the fun brother but I can see a vulnerability just below the surface that he tries to hide.

Jungkook doesn't have that
but he's not nearly as free-spirited as Guk.

It boggles my mind how
different two men who look
like the same person can be.

"You're the expert." Jungkook says, leaning in and looking down at the catalog I'm still clutching in my hands.

His sweet scent fills my nostrils.

"Tell us what your ideas are."

"Well, I was thinking we could
go with some period furniture from the sixteenth and seventeenth centuries for the main reception rooms, the hall, the dining room, drawing
room the spaces you'll be entertaining formal guests."

I look from one brother to the other, hoping I'm not already boring them.

"And then for your personal space, your bedrooms and
offices and whatnot I'll need a little more input from the two
of you so I can pick out some furnishings that match your tastes and styles."

I sit back in my chair,
searching their expressions.

Do they hate my ideas?

Is this what the last designer
felt like? The one they fired for being incompetent?

"I have some... thoughts."

Guk pulls a tablet from the pocket in the seat in front of
him and taps on it a few times, bringing up a picture that may very well be from Versailles.

"I was thinking stuff like this
for the main rooms."

"That gold stuff on the walls
and the curtains and those ornate lamps, Pillows with
the fringe and tassels."

"Can you do something like that?"

Jungkook tosses me a look
and I bite the insides of my cheeks to keep from laughing.

"That's not going to work."

Jungkook says, saving me
from telling Guk that some of that decor is really only appropriate if your name happens to be Louis XIV.

"First of all, it looks like
someone threw up yarn all
over that couch and second, we're not going to put gold
leaf and gilding on everything that will hold still. That's just
not going to happen."

He turns to me. "We want it to be nice but tasteful, I like your idea of making the reception rooms look grand and no
doubt some of Guk's ideas
will work there."

"But the actual rooms we use
the three kitchens, the home theater, the places where we'll actually be living need to be state of the art."

"Modern but stylish."

"Do you get what I'm saying?"

Guk rolls his eyes and tosses
the tablet aside.

They've clearly had this particular disagreement before.

Should I even try to get in the middle of it?

They clearly have different
ideas of what a chateau looks like on the inside.

"I do understand." I say, measuring my tone as I
answer Jungkook.

I turn my attention to Guk
and add. "But I think this
house will be big enough to accommodate everything
you guys want to do and I'll identify some areas where we might have to compromise."

"Jungkook doesn't know what that word means." Guk says, smirking as he nodded
toward his brother.

"Did you hear him? Com-pro-mise, I know it sounds dirty
to you but it's not so bad."

"Like you would know."

Jungkook shoots back before turning to me and letting out
a heavy sigh.

"I'm willing to compromise."

"You'll see when we get to the chateau tomorrow, I can compromise all day long."

"Tomorrow?" I ask.

"I thought we were going
to be landing there."

"We could if this were a helicopter." Jungkook answers.

"But the closest airport that
can accommodate the jet is in Paris."

"We'll stay at our apartment in the city tonight and drive out to the chateau tomorrow morning."

"Unless you have other plans?"

I shake my head.

I don't have any other plans,
of course but the look on his
face tells me that I'd be canceling them right now if I
did have any.

He might say he can
compromise but I've seen
both of these men in action today and there's no doubt in
my mind that they're both
used to getting exactly what
they want.

I just hope I can find a way to make them both happy.
