"It's so pretty here..."

"Right? Me and Kun~ge found it while chasing Sicheng." Minghao raises a brow,

"You were chasing...Sicheng?"

"It's a long story."

"Yeah seems like it." Yuqi only shrugs before soaking up again,

"A little birdie told me you're hitting it off with your hot new neighbour."

"Damn Seungkwan for real can't keep his mouth shut...and I'm not "hitting it off," we're just friends." The younger shakes her head and smacks Minghao's back harder than necessary,

"That's how it always starts dear boy." The raven haired male rolls his eyes,

"I'm leaving." He walks off.

...

Sure Minghao was a bit too paranoid sometimes but this time he swears it isn't him. There's been someone mimicking his footsteps but every time he turns around it's a ghost town. Gosh he gets why girls be going through it when walking alone at night.

The raven haired male rubs his arms, suddenly being cold despite it being such a hot summer. *nah this ain't it chief* with that, he booked it towards the direction of his apartment. And as expected the foot steps behind him also sped up and he's pretty sure he felt his soul leave his body until he reached the bus stop where a man was standing.

He immediately sped up and sprinted towards the man, almost accidentally bumping into him.

Choi Seungcheol.

The Chinese breathed a sigh of relief earning a strange look from his boss,

"What's wrong Myungho? You look like you just saw a ghost."

"N-Nothing..." Seungcheol frowns and peeks behind the younger.

"Right...where you headed."

"Just...home." Actually the bus stop he was at was in the opposite direction of his apartment.

"Myungho, you live in the opposite direction." So he knew...Seungcheol gazes at the foreigner and opens his mouth to say something but opts against it.

"Want to go for a drink?"

And that's how he ended up here;

Sitting in an empty bar, downing an unhealthy amount of shots with his boss from work.

Minghao hated the taste of alcohol, he only preferred wine. Yet here he is, drinking beer like his life depended on it. Seungcheol noticed the concerning consumption of alcohol but didn't speak of it, he instead poured himself his fourth shot and tipped their bartender.

"What were you doing out so late?"

"Hyung, you sound like my dad." The elder blinks,

"Sorry, I- I'm only used to asking that question to my little brother whenever he comes home late."

"It's okay, I was just at a school reunion and stepped out for a while to clear my head."

"I'm guessing not much of that was done." The Chinese purses his lips,

"...Yeah."

"You should relax with the soju." The Korean mutters, taking Minghao's glass away from him.

"But—"

"You're already drunk, you're shaking." The younger looks down at his bouncing leg and shaky hands,

"Oh...hyung, it's cold." The older laughs,

"This is the first time I've heard you speak like this." He rests his chin on the palm of his hand, "I guess you're more soft spoken than I thought." The foreigner tilts his head in confusion, his brain suddenly finding it difficult to register any Korean,

"Huh...?"

"Nothing." Seungcheol stands up, "come on, I'll take you home."

Wonwoo did not expect a drunk Minghao to enter their apartment at two in the morning and he certainly did not expect an older man in a suit to drop him off. Of course all his suspicions were cleared after the stranger introduced himself as Minghao's boss but it was still a bit weird.

"Damn, I haven't seen you drunk since college..." the stoic man lays the younger onto the couch and scratches the back of his head.

He had snuck out the reunion way before Minghao left with Yuqi so he got a good scolding from Seungkwan from that which is why he was already home. Seungkwan however was no where to be found but Wonwoo didn't stress about it too much knowing the younger's nature.

The eldest was planning to sleeping any time soon since he was gonna spend the night playing games but for some reason he felt the urge to stay with the Chinese until he wakes up,

"You're high maintenance..."
