They say love is
Patient
Love is
Kind,
But what if you've lived to love
Without a sound mind?
Loving out of duty and obligation,
Who can find fault in that?
Then I guess it truly wasn't love,
For love isn't proud or self-seeking,
Nor is it easily angered.
Love is not a feeling or a
fleeting moment of butterflies,
No,
Love is an action, a choice.
We may say countless
"I love yous",
But the daily tucking your children into bed,
Kisses on the forehead to your wife
Or drop offs to school,
Speak volumes of love than any
Empty words and promises of
"I love yous".
Love is when despite having an
enemy, you pray for them.
Love is even when getting disappointed or angry at a loved one,
You still smile and forgive them...
Perhaps you may not even smile at them, you don't have to force yourself to,
and that is okay.
Love is not as complicated as we perceive it to be.
We have people who use the concept of love to
Manipulate and shape it to
Their liking,
That is
Not
Love!
It is so great that it holds no record of wrongs,
Covering a multitude of sins.
Love is beautiful,
Love is kind,
Love conquers all,
For God is
Love.
