"Ugh, what the fuck is this?"

Matthew twisted his face and muttered audibly, swearing scrappy names and tucking himself quickly under the heavy blanket. The sunlight invaded the dark room so quickly that he let out more swears, not knowing who the son of a bitch was that made him appreciate the damn Californian luminosity way earlier than expected.

Oh, these were the times that he missed England the most; its beauty, rain and dark dawn. He felt someone pulling his blanket and tried to hold it, but this someone was faster than he hoped.

"Fuck!" He screamed, making an absurd pout as he saw Alyssa and Shane's faces there. "Great, I get to wake up and look at the devil's face first thing in the morning," he mumbled, rubbing his eyes. "No offense, Shane."

"Can you stop whining like a little girl and get up, Crawford? I have things to do besides this!" Aly started speaking and Matthew huffed, sitting up in his bed.

"I'll get up as soon as you tell me why you came here to raise hell at this time in the morning," he yawned.

"Morning? It's three in the afternoon!"

Was it just him, or was the girl's voice way too shrill and irritating? He rolled his eyes. "For someone who went to bed at 7AM, three in the afternoon feels like the break of dawn," he huffed, walking towards the bathroom. "And who the hell let you in?"

"Luke."

"I'm going to kill that guy," he said before closing the door loudly behind him.

Matthew opened the bathroom door and saw Alyssa sitting on the edge of his bed, changing channels compulsively on his TV. He rolled his eyes and looked at the girl for the first time, unwillingly. As if it wasn't enough just seeing her every day, now when he got a break from her, she'd sneak herself into his home? He definitely did not sign up for this.

"What do you want?" He asked, taking the remote control out of her hand.

"Good morning to you too, boyfriend," she said with a forced voice. "I am freaking out!"

"Tell me something I don't know," he muttered.

"Wow, you've always been cocky, but you completely break the record when you've just woken up."

"What do you want, Alyssa?" Matthew sighed, defeated.

"I want a story!" Aly responded. "Matthew, we have to put our plan in action, and I highly doubt it would work anyway, but we still don't know what to do! I don't know the story behind our relationship! I don't know when our first kiss was, I don't know when he had sex, I don't know when-"

"You wanna tell everyone we had sex?" Crawford raised his eyebrow and laughed. "I know having a guy like Matthew Crawford on your résumé is something to admire, but please, Alyssa, have some manners..."

"Go fuck yourself."

"Manners."

"You better shut up and help me before I cut your balls off with nail clippers," Alyssa smiled maliciously, and Crawford jumped, shaking his body.

"Ugh, stay away from my balls," he said. "Hey, I've never said that to a girl. You know, I really like when they work with the-"

"Matthew!" Alyssa interrupted him in exasperation, and the actor giggled, walking towards the kitchen.

Shane laughed as Matthew went over the "morning visits" rules to Luke for the hundredth time. The guy was in the apartment because he was just too drunk to leave the night before, but he still had a better sense of humor than the host. They were having breakfast and discussing some trivialities - something that Shane was sure was freaking Alyssa out as she seemed more anxious than usual with this pregnancy thing - when she suddenly screamed.
