Chapter 40 - "Fail or pass?"

I don't reply at Grace, I don't know what the perfect answer could be, I don't wanna say no directly, and I can't say yes. There's like a 5 seconds of silent after what Grace just asked,
"I would let Daisy answer that" Dylan says
"m-me?" I stutter
"mhm, you, miss Daisy" he says
"Well if you both are a couple, I just wanted to say
you guys are cute together" Grace says,
𝘰𝘬 𝘴𝘩𝘦'𝘴 𝘥𝘰𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘦𝘹𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘭𝘺 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘐 𝘸𝘢𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘥
Dylan doesn't reply to that, but he smiles after hearing that
"well yeah they actually are 𝙧𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙡𝙮 cute together" Lexi says with a fake smile, we can tell that she's being sarcastic here
"ah why did you interrupt" Liz says to Lexi
𝙟𝙪𝙨𝙩 𝙬𝙝𝙮 𝙙𝙞𝙙 𝙨𝙝𝙚 𝙞𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙧𝙧𝙪𝙥𝙩...
"you know what, never mind, you guys can continue, I'll be gone for a while" Lexi says
"what do you mean?" I ask
"I'm going to go on a break and give myself some time alone"
"for how long?" 𝘐'𝘮 𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘧𝘶𝘴𝘦𝘥
"depends, I'll be back when I'll heal" she says and stands up
𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘧𝘶𝘤𝘬 𝘥𝘰𝘦𝘴 𝘴𝘩𝘦 𝘮𝘦𝘢𝘯 𝘣𝘺 𝘩𝘦𝘢𝘭...?
Me and Liz give each other side eye
"More like I'm not coming to school anymore" she says
"you can just leave this school then" Liz says rolling her eyes
𝘰𝘶𝘤𝘩, 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘨𝘰𝘰𝘥
"Good idea, thanks"
"Lexi, it was a joke" Dylan says and stands up
"No Dylan... This is the last time we're seeing each other... goodbye" she sighs
𝘑𝘦𝘦𝘻 𝘴𝘩𝘦'𝘴 𝘥𝘳𝘢𝘮𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘤, 𝘤𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘦.
"Lexi don't leave me like that..." Dylan says
𝘞𝘩𝘺 𝘪𝘴 𝘩𝘦 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘯 𝘴𝘵𝘰𝘱𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘩𝘦𝘳?
"Give my spot to her" She walks away
Dylan glances at me and follows her the way out

Now it's just me, Liz and Grace here
"oh well" Liz says
"I don't think he passed the test, really" Grace says
"agreed" Liz nods
"Why is he even stopping her..." I say
"Don't feel bad Daisy, but you seem like his side chick" Grace says
"that's the last thing I wanted to hear" I sigh
"seriously, either tell him to choose you and get away from Lexi or 𝘆𝗼𝘂 get away from 𝗵𝗶𝗺" Liz says
