CHAPTER 68 - WITH A KNIFE

Tila kinakalkula ni Peter kung ilang taon na ito base sa boses. Hindi na ito bata, siguro ay nasa eary senior na ito, hindi sigurado si Peter.

"S-sino ka?" tangang tanong lang ni Peter. "Mafia ka din ba?"

Sandaling tumahimik ang lalaki at nakita niya ang pag-iling nito. "Mafia pero..." napakamot ito sa ulo parang dismayado sa pag-amin. "...pero tinatamad ng maging mafia." Umupo ito pasalampak para mas maging malapit ang mukha nito kay Peter. Ganoon pa man e hindi pa din niya makita ito ng maayos. "My name's Zaire Lee. I am planning to build a peace organization but I can't do it myself. If you don't want to die here, you'll listen to the proposal i have just for you Peter."

Walang ni ha, ni ho, in the brink of death with one dead witness (Tonyo), binanggit ng matandang lalaki ang mga katagang iyon na tuluyang nagpa bago sa buhay ni Peter. Yes, ang matandang iyon ay si Senior Zaire, ang pinakamatandang myembro ng executive. Hindi lang siya basta eme na Senior na inilagay doon...he was the brain behind MPO!

For some unknown reason, the Silvias spared his life in exchange of him telling the exact location of Veronica and the kids. Life chose him to betray his family.

The sound of waililngs and unending cries of the kids tore Peter's heart apart! They are getting them from him! They are leaving and he can't even hug them! WAla e, ginusto niya yan edi panindigan niya.

"Papa Peter bakit, bakit mo po 'to ginawa sa amin???" the little Rina cried. Buhat buhat na siya ng isang Silvia ready to uwi na paballik sa para sa kanila ay 'hell'. Peter didn't bother to anwswer any plea of question.

"Ate Rina!!! Kuya Rebel!!!" si Toby na buhat buhat ng inang si Bia ay walang magawa kundi tignan na lamang kung paanong kuhanin ng mga men in black ang mga kapatid. "Mama ibaba mo ako! Aawayin ko tila! Hindi nila pwede kunin mga kuya at ate ko!!!"

"Tobyyyyy!"

"Toby!"

Ang magkapatid ay ayaw din mahiwalay sa bata! E ano gagawin, epal si Peter e. Buti nalang talaga at madalang ang mga chismosa dito sa isla kaya walang mga nakiki-usyoso sa ganap nila at syempre wala din naglalakas loob na tumulong.

Everything went in fast motion for Peter, tila naka multiply by 10 ang bilis ng mga pangyayari. All he remembered is the way how Veronica eyed him. It was a look of hope and trust kay Peter! Veronica is still believing in him, his better half is waiting for the day where he will move and make their family whole again.

And the rest went history. Peter engaged his few weeks in the making of mafian peace organization of course with senior Zaire, he was wearing a white mask back then for him not to reveal his face...he was named as the faceless man that will soon bring peace between mafias and civilians.

Well that's what they thaught because behind those sweet talks about peace is a planto destroy every mafian communities.

Veronica died while giving birth, that is also the day where Peter revealed himself as the founder of MPO. Syempre gulat malala si Rondrad and others, sino ba namang hindi e dating truck driver lang yan si Peter tapos naging mangingisda. And now founder na ng isang organization na mas mataas kaysa sa mga mafian.

Well, who knows what pain can do to a person.

To avoid shame sa part ng mga Silvias na nagkaroon ng anak sa labas si Veronica---kay Peter pa mismo talaga na isang MPO, nagkaroon ng kasunduan sa pagitan nila. Rondrad will raise the son and Peter will raise the daughter.  They even signed  a paper stating that there will be no more string attached on any of them. Peter will forget that he had a son with Veronica and that he raised Rina and Rebel for almost four years and that he will also forget Veronica.
