"Hindi bumababa ang lagnat niya."

Tahimik akong nakasandal sa pader habang pinapakinggan ang sinasabi ng Doctor. It's been hours simula ng dumating siya pero wala pa din siyang magawa para pababain ang lagnat ni Ashari.

Is she really a doctor? I'll tell Easton to take away her doctoral license kapag hindi niya napagalling si Ashari! She will never be able to work as a medical doctor again, I swear!

"Are you a doctor or just some quack? I'm telling you, kapag hindi mo napababa ang lagnat niya hanggang kinabukasan, say good bye to your license!"

I remained calm while listening to what she is blabbering. Slowly, I am hinting something sa gusto niyang iparating.

"What are you talking about? Just a while ago, she's alive giving us headaches! Bakit bigla siyang nagkasakit?" Easton asked.

"May I humbly ask Sir..." bumuntong hininga ang Doctor. "Lately, nagkaroon ba ng stressful happenings sa environment niya? Wala ba siyang naranasan na somewhat traumatic or somewhat first time shocking na nasaksihan niya? It seems that it's stress that's causing her sickness, not something na ma-c-cure ng biogenics or antibiotics."

Tumahimik ang buong kwarto sa winika ng Doctor. Even I, myself, cannot utter a word.

I looked at Ashari lying down there at her bed. Maputla siya at malalim ang paghinga. She's so weak and fragile bagay na nakakapanibago dahil hindi ako sanay na ganyan ang mukha niya. She's always wearing her frowned face, that creepy smile and that angry yet funny look on her! Pero ngayon, kitang kita na nahihirapan talaga siya sa sakit niya.

I breathed out to calm my senses. I gazed at Easton, if there is something I can describe on his looks now, I may say he seems a bit guilty. Itinatago niya ang nararamdaman niya pero I can instantly tell by the looks of his that he is somehow feeling responsible for what is happening to Ashari now.

"Yes, she's been into traumatic scenarios that she's not familiar with... Doc." I break out the silence. Alam kong hindi aaminin ni Easton ang mga nangyari and I have to take over.

"If it's ok, can you briefly tell me what exactly happened? Don't worry I'll keep this confidential. You can have my head if I spill out any information. I am just doing this for me to assess the limitation of my treatments."

She's a Mafian doctor. She's not exclusively for Marcheses kaya naman kahit sino pwedeng maghire sa kaniya at kahit sino pwedeng humingi ng mga information tungkol sa mga naririnig at nalalaman niya. Sometimes, medical doctors are worst than spies. Sila kasi ang nakaka-alam ng weaknesses in terms of physical state ng mga pasyente nila. Anyone can use them.

But since she offered her head and it's not as if the infomation are confidentials, I'll go tell her what happened...in a very brief way.
