JIMIN POV

Jimin's heartbeat was so loud,
he feared everyone else heard it.

The judge began speaking and he barely heard the words but
a deep resonate mumble to
his ears.

He lifted his stare to his alpha, searching for something to anchor him and help him find solace.

Jungkook stared down, his
eyes filled with a quiet strength
that Jimin needed to latch on to.

Jungkook took his hands and held them tightly.

Jimin trembled at his touch too overwrought by emotion to fight the tidal wave of lust he always felt in the man's presence.

He still hadn't told Jungkook
the truth of who they were to each other and the longer he held back, the harder it
seemed to be to speak it.

He'd tried the night before but Jungkook had silenced him,
too stuck in his plans for their salvation.

After eating, they'd spent the rest of the night making love
and the morning had been a whirlwind preparing for this moment.

A moment that was flashing by without him hearing a word.

"I promise to protect and provide for my omega to care for him
to honor him and to give him
my strength when he
requires." Jungkook Said,
staring down at him.

"Will you take this omega as
your husband?" the judge asked.

"I will." Jungkook said with ease.

The judge turned to Jimin.

"And you..."

Jimin searched his mind, looking for the mating words he'd long ago learned and now forgotten
in the stress of the moment.

Long ago, he'd thought to write his own vows, ones not so traditional as the old ones but
in that moment, he could only repeat the ones drilled into him.

"I... promise to... cherish my alpha and submit to his will... provide a loving home and give him the immortality of family."

Jungkook dropped one of his hands, pressing it to Jimin's stomach.

He smiled, whispering. "You might already have."

"Will you take Jungkook as
your husband?" the judge asked.

Jimin hesitated.

He lifted his stare to Jungkook and saw the moment uncertainty and fear bled into the alpha's features.

He wanted to be bound to his alpha but not like this... not forced to mate because of a threat.

He'd needed time to know him more, time to know his life wouldn't change dramatically the moment he said the next words.

But there was no time.

"I will." he finally murmured
and saw the relief flooding Jungkook's face.

"Then by the powers granted to me by the province, I announce you husband and husband."

Jungkook's bunny smile was infectious and he couldn't help sharing it before the alpha leaned in to capture his lips.

A hunger almost as strong as
his heat hit him suddenly and
he kissed the man back, lost
in that caress of lip upon lip.

His fingers bunched in the
front of Jungkook's tux,
dragging the alpha closer.

Applause circled them and reminded him they weren't alone.

He stepped back, his face reddening as he looked around.
