JIMIN POV
Just before seven...
Jimin tossed the take-out boxes into the trash, sprinkled some shredded cheese over the lasagna he'd picked up and slid both small casserole dishes into the oven to rewarm their dinner.
Afterwards, he set a nice table, adding one of the many vases of flowers to the center and stood back to admire the setting.
A knock sounded a few
minutes early.
He tried not to rush to the door.
Pausing midway he took a
deep breath trying to calm
the butterflies in his belly.
When he finally opened up...
It was Kai leaning in the doorway.
"Wanna grab a bite?"
"I can't... I've got plans."
"Where are you going?"
"Nowhere." Jimin answered.
Kai stood up straighter, both brows moving into a tight line.
"You have a guest?"
"And if I do?"
Kai's jaw tensed. "None of
my business. Right?"
"Kai..."
As the alpha turned to leave, who showed up but Jungkook.
In an instant, both of them
were standing toe to toe,
glaring as Jimin slid outside
and moved between them.
He put his back to Kai and
eyed Jungkook.
"My friend, Kai was just
checking in on me."
"He's on his way out." Jimin
said to Jungkook as he heard them both growl at one another.
Great.
Two alphas in a pissing
contest just outside my door.
The rumbles raced through
like fire in his veins.
Biting his tongue, he bit back
a moan rising to his lips.
He hated drama but the inner animal within was eating it up.
Heat spread through him, ready to give in to the alpha who
won the battle.
A little slick eased from him
and suddenly, both alphas were looking down at him lust in
their eyes.
Kai took a step back, glaring wearily at Jimin.
He seemed to struggle to lift
his gaze to Jungkook.
"You hurt him and you deal
with me."
"Let me guess... you're the
alpha I scented on him while
he was moaning under me."
Jungkook replied menacingly.
Kai rushed Jungkook, nearly knocking Jimin over.
"Just like a Jeon... you feel
the need to mark everything
as yours."
"Stop!" Jimin screamed.
"Stop this right now!"
Jungkook lifted his chin and neither man backed off.
Jimin glared at Jungkook.
"Or you can both leave!"
Jungkook growled before
taking a half-step back.
"For you, I'll back off for you."
"Not him."
"I don't need favors from
you, Jeon." Kai snapped.
