Chapter 39

THE NEXT day, kailangan na bumalik ni Light sa Pilipinas dahil sa tambak na trabaho na hindi na rin maasikaso ng kapatid niya. Xyria was now starting the construction for Ryker's new building. Surprisingly, mas hands on doon ang kapatid niya kaysa sa mga past projects nito.

Light worriedly glanced at Vyrlle when he saw her leaning against the door, scratching her neck.

"What is it? Babalik din naman ako agad," aniya at mahinang tumawa.

She sighed heavily.

"Alam ko naman," Vyrlle answered and clicked her tongue.

Gusto niya na isama ito pauwi sa Pilipinas, pero alam din niya na hindi basta basta maiiwan ni Vyrlle ang trabaho niya rito. Just like him, hindi siya makakapunta dito sa San Diego kung hindi tapos ang trabaho niya sa Pilipinas. His sister will surely detach his head from his body.

He's too young and fresh to die.

"I'll try to finish my work as early as possible," aniya.

"It's okay… I guess, mag se-settle muna ako sa video call." Vyrlle chuckled.

Nilapitan niya ito at ikinulong sa mga bisig niya, kissing her head repeatedly. His hand was caressing her back, it was his way to assure her that he'll be back, as soon as possible.

"Pagbalik ko, tulungan mo ako mamili kung alin sa mga binebenta na lupa ang bibilhin ko." He whispered. 

Aside from work, uuwi rin siya para makausap ang mga tarantado niyang kaibigan. Sigurado na malaki ang mababawas na pera sa mga bank account nila ngayon taon. Hindi mareklamo ang mga 'yon kapag nag do-donate ng pera sa orphanage ng demonyo nilang kaibigan, pati na rin sa School ni Angelyn. Of course, it was also their idea, and they're more than happy to help.

Pero pagdating sa bahay na tinitirhan ng mga ito, nababasag ang mga salamin sa tenga ni Light at Castiel.

"For?" Vyrlle asked.

"A new village for us…" sagot niya rito.

Noong mag propose si Ryker kay Cj, naumpisahan na niyang mag sketch and with the help of Castiel, unti unti na nila 'yon natatapos. The 3d model, rendering, even the blueprint, sa mga bahay, ang buong village and the security was also planned.

"For us…? Kasama kami ni Vystrelle?" Gulat na tanong nito sa kanya.

Light held his sunshine's chin, "of course!"

"I never thought of you and your friends living in the same village, hindi ba kayo nagsasawa sa mga mukha niyo? Nag away na ba kayo?"

Light's brows lifted up.

Of course, there were times that they lost their temper. Cursing and throwing sharp words against each other were very normal to them. Sa tagal nilang magkakaibigan, wala na lang sa kanila 'yon. Although, they have to filter some of their habits now— like involving their families or dirty past in their fights, they just realised that they look like an immature kid.

After their fight, they will just laugh it off and drink, because at the end of the day, they will remain family. A family that will stick together, through ups and downs.

"Nagsasawa sa mga mukha nila? Minsan. Kaya nga hindi ako madalas umuwi sa mini village namin." He chuckled, but the truth was he's just really busy with his job.

"You talk too much, Luca. Baka ma late ka sa flight mo, Ate Xyria won't like it." Vyrlle smiled at him and tapped his chest.

Bahagya siyang umuklo at hinuli ang mga labi nito. Light tighten his grip on her as he kissed her tenderly. Ilang araw din niya ito na hindi makikita, he won't be able to hug and kiss her.
