12. A Special Relationship

(A/N : Hey people. New chap is here. Now that more people have joined along the ride, I want to make this clear. My release schedule is completely non-existent. I try to upload once a day, but I will not be able to do that all the time, so sometimes I might upload in two days or more. Depending on how much school wants to end me, of course)

I can not believe it

Even after a few months have gone by, I still can not convince myself that that overgrown lizard disappeared without a trace

His power is overwhelming, destroying anyone and everything around him

I had personally experienced it, so I was sure

Even though he was sealed, I knew that as a True Dragon, he would eventually either die and reincarnate, or one of his sisters save him before that

But, considering what happened around 3 months before Veldora's disappearance still lingers in my mind

When that overwhelming presence was felt

It was so strong, that I almost fell unconscious due to it's influence

The birth of another True Dragon

Such a being surpassed Veldora by leaps and bounds

However, what is more bizarre about it, is the fact that is has disappeared without a trace

I can not feel even a sliver of it's presence

Some time after it's disappearance, Veldora disappeared as well

Even when I sent scouts to the sealed cave, he was completely gone. There was no sign of him

But, there was one thing that I did not expect to find

Inside that cave, in the deepest crevice, there was a metal plastered everywhere. On the floor, on the walls and on the ceiling

It was a purplish metal, with small star shaped dots that radiated a bright light

Analytical appraisal could not identify it

When one of my scouts went to touch it, his whole arm came off

What made this worse, is that the wound would not heal

Even with my powers, I could not heal it

His armless state had been registered as his body's norm

When I looked at his soul, it had been horribly disfigured

No wonder why he passed away a few minutes after reporting back to me

As I was drowning in my thoughts, the door to my room opened

Roy walked in, leaving a ginormous stack of papers on my desk

"Liminous-sama. This is the paperwork for today" He said

"Roy, I am quite sure that I asked you to bring me a small percentage of the paperwork, since I do not mind helping when my country is in such disarray. However, what is this?"

After audibly gulping, he started speaking "...This is less than one percent of the paperwork that needs to be looked through, Luminous-sama"

I look at him with a dumbfounded face

"Then, if that was all, excuse me!" He said as he rushed out of the room
