Wow. I'm speechless. I never expected this story to blow up this much. At least, not all at once. In a single day the reads of my story doubled. I don't know what to say. Well, I guess I can give my thanks to everyone who has supported my story thus far. You guys are seriously the best )
(Rimuru's Perspective)
As soon as my consciousness returns to normal, I can feel the fresh air coiling around my body
As I open my eyes, the sun's warm and blinding rays of light greet me, while my Universal Perception is turned on again
I'm lying on the soft ground that is filled with a ton of bright green blades of grass, and next to me is a large tree, it's shadow covering us
I say us, because someone is currently lying on top of me, hugging me tightly
And that someone is the girl that was born within my soul, my partner, my equal and my other half, Ciel
Looking at her aloof sleeping face causes a wide smile to be plastered on my face
I unconsciously move my hand to the back of her head, slowly and gently caressing her
"Rimuru-sama..."
Ciel mumbled while slowly opening her eyes, turning her head up to look at me
She was so beautiful. Her round, red eyes looking straight at me, made me skip a beat, even though I'm not supposed to have a heart, since my body is that of a slime's
Her voice was so mesmerizing. I felt as if it drew me in deeper into an inescapable place
The moment she said that, I took her even deeper into my embrace, putting her head on my chest, slowly running my fingers through her silky smooth hair
"Ciel..." I unintentionally whisper
We just sat there for a while, in each other's embrace
In reality, it was a very short amount of time
But for us, it felt so much longer
Deep inside of my mind, I thought of this
I hope this moment will last forever
But, sadly, right now, we have other things to do
I slowly loosen my embrace, and along with a melancholic sigh, I stand up
"...Rimuru-sama?" Ciel mutters
"Ciel. As much as I want to stay like that for longer, we have work to do" I say, while extending my hand to her
