As the smoke cleared, pirates charged down the bridge acting as a gang plank, racing for the VKs. Intercepting one of the pirates gunning for Ben, Eva swung her sword to block the parry before it sliced Ben's arm. Kicking out, her foot connected with his midsection and she watched him topple into the water. Is this really the best Uma has, mused Eva, pleased at how easy that had been.

Down on the bridge, Mal and Uma engaged in their own battle. Swords clanged all around them as the pirates tried their hardest to prevent the VKs from escaping. Lonnie fought off two pirates, dodging them both as they lunged for her. Carlos had exchanged his slingshot for a sword and was doing his best to stop his opponent from getting the upper hand.

Jumping over a beam, Harry landed in front of Jay with a dark grin. "Hello, Jay."

Taking his hat from his head, Harry dropped it on the floor and pulled out his sword. A sadistic expression decorated his face. Approaching with his own confident smirk, Jay was pleased he finally had the chance to attack the irritating pirate. Circling each other, the two men swapped sides before Harry moved first. Lunging for the long-haired man, Harry sliced down with his sword. A growl left his mouth when the reformed thief ducked out of the way. Sword above his head, Harry spun before swinging out again. Raising his arm in defence, Jay blocked the blow, keeping the pirate at bay.

Defeating another pirate who had been gunning for the King, Eva wiped the sweat from her brow using the sleeve of her jacket. Comfortable that Ben was holding his own fairly well with a pirate, she took a moment to assess the field. Lonnie had just kicked a pirate into the water, smiling at her work. Carlos knocked a man off the balcony they were on, pleased that he wasn't dragging the team down. After all, he was the least experienced in combat.

Mal and Uma were still trading blows; nobody else attempted to intervene. A surprised squeak reached Eva's ears and she whirled round in a panic. A man had Evie pinned. Before Eva could move to intercept, the seamstress stomped on his foot, shoving him off the pier. During her moment of fear for her sister, Eva allowed herself to become momentarily distracted. Pain radiated down her arm and she let out a shocked bellow. Blood dripped from the pirate's sword as he grinned at her.

Distracted by the loud, feminine yell, Harry struggled to wrench his sword free from the beam it was caught in. Using the position to his advantage, Jay kicked the First Mate back, pulling the hook from his hand with his sword. Taking a menacing step forward, Harry froze when Jay dangled the hook over the edge of the pier. Red hot fury pulsated through Harry as he looked at the precarious position of his father's hook. Throwing down his sword in defeat, Harry held his hand out, wordlessly asking for it back.

Following the revelation of this weakness, the Scot refused to look Jay in the eye. Unbothered by the pirate's display of surrender, the Tourney champion let the hook slide into the sea. Strolling off, Jay mentally patted himself on the back when he heard the splash come from behind him. Without a second thought, Harry had dove into the icy cold water.
