Trying to get back to routine

"Prime parking!" Sam exclaimed as he drove into the parking spot. He had shown up shortly after you were finally starting to relax on Bucky's lap with Steve and Loki in tow. Loki was dressed up in an emerald green dress and a pair of black flats with a leather jacket for the day, even though the cold didn't really bother her. You were sandwiched between Bucky and Steve in the backseat with Loki in the passenger seat beside Sam again. She seemed to like the fact that she got to be front and center.
"Do you think Jack will remember our orders?" you asked a little anxious about getting out of the car, and trying to buy yourself some time. You were excited but anxious at the same time. It had been so long since you had been out and about, and it had been almost two months since you'd been to the farmers market.
"Jack has a good memory, I'm sure he remembers Cuddle bug" Sam promised as he took off his seat belt. You followed suit, and got out on Bucky's side of the car. He quickly took your hand and kissed your knuckles. Loki looked around suspiciously, but nodded to Steve that it was safe to keep going. The five of you walked slowly to the waffle truck, and you kept your head down shyly. You heard a wolf whistle and looked up sharply only to see Jack grinning from ear to ear.
"There she is! I was getting worried" he called to you. "Did you find another farmer's market? A few of us were talking, and thought you abandoned us" he kept speaking loudly.
"I was away for work" you said as you got closer to the food truck, not knowing how to answer it properly, so you lied.
"Damn girl, you had a lot of us worried. Hey, I want three Y/N's, a Sam and a regular waffle. Extra whipped" Jack called to the back.
"Can I get extra strawberries today too?" you asked a little timidly.
"Hey, extra strawberries on that one. I want it overflowing" he winked at you. You took out your credit card to pay, but Bucky already had his card out and quickly paid, leaving a handsome tip again. "I still like your man, or is he your husband now?" Jack teased.
"Not yet her husband" Bucky put his arm around your shoulders. "I'm working her in that direction" he openly admitted and you flushed.
"I never even had a chance," Jack chuckled. "But seriously Y/N, are you okay? You've lost weight" he pointed out quickly.
"It was a lack of all this good food" you felt a little anxious lying, but you knew it was for the better. You couldn't very well tell him the truth.
"We are moving to our winter location soon, you better come see me again next weekend, or else I'll take it personal" he grinned.
"We will make it to your winter location, where's that at?" Steve asked.
"They move the flea market indoors on sixth street at an old warehouse. We follow them there. Y/N and Sam know the way" Jack winked at him. "And how is my lady Loki?" he wiggled his eyebrows at her.
"Well, I certainly missed you" Loki openly flirted with him and you saw Jack's cheeks tint a slight shade of pink.
"I missed you too baby girl" he got out smoothly. "Next time come see me towards the end of my shift, there's a great cafe across the street. I'd love to take you for a coffee sometime"
"I'll keep that in mind" Loki giggled.
Your orders came up and both Steve and Bucky quickly grabbed them, while Sam got the utensils, and you grabbed the napkins. The five of you made your way to the picnic tables and sat down. Your waffle was overflowing with strawberries and whipped cream, with barely any waffle. You hummed to yourself, thinking this was exactly what you needed and you started to dig in with Loki and Bucky on either side of you. It wasn't missed on you that Loki kept looking around suspiciously, as did the boys. You were trying to concentrate on not losing control and having your anxiety take over again. You kept yourself centered with deep breaths, and focusing on your food. You were the last one to finish and Sam got up taking everyone's garbage and putting it away.
"Hey" Bucky grabbed your attention, and you looked up at him. He leaned down and gave you a lingering kiss on the lips. "You're okay sugar" he promised. You gave a slight nod, and he helped you get out of the picnic table. He quickly took your hand, while Loki wound her arm through your spare arm and the five of you started making your way into the market itself.
You were pleasantly surprised to see most of your favorite fruit vendors were still open and quickly made your way over to get some fruits for the week, adding plums to your selection having seen Bucky munch on a few during the daytime at the compound. You had once asked him about it, and he said it's supposed to help with memory. When you got to the jewelry vendor, you gasped in surprise that they had a matching rose bracelet to your necklace and earrings you were already wearing. Bucky quickly paid for it, and put the bracelet on your wrist with a soft kiss on your knuckles to seal it.
"I do believe you haven't gone to see about your books" Loki reminded you.
"I don't know if we have enough room for all my books in our suite" you hesitated.
"We will make room, go get your books doll" Bucky let go of your hand as Loki started leading the way. Steve nodded to Bucky that he would guard you, and Bucky made his way to the flower vendor to pick up another dozen roses for you. You picked out ten books like you usually did, only it was a mixture of books for both you and Bucky, while Loki also picked up a bag full of books for her room as well. She carefully read the back of each one before selecting which ones she would bring home. Sam barely left your side, and quickly took your bag of books once you paid.
"Are you ready for your crepe's Cuddle bug?" he asked, seeing you were visibly relaxed now. You gave a quick nod while Bucky made his way back to you and handed you your flowers.
"Bucky..." you trailed off, and reached up on your tiptoes to give him a soft kiss on the lips. He quickly grabbed you by the hips to keep you flush against his body as he explored your lips, not ready for the kiss to be over. You heard a camera click, and you both pulled away and looked over to see Steve had his phone out with a huge grin on his face.
"I'll send it to you, jerk," Steve promised.
"Me too, please" you blushed.
"No problem. It looked like a moment that belonged on your wall" Steve smiled kindly. He sent you the picture and you looked at it on your phone. Your flowers were placed right beside both of your faces on the other side from the camera, and it looked like an intimate moment caught in time. You smiled down at the picture and Bucky pressed another kiss into the side of your head.
"You caught it perfectly," Bucky said to his best friend.
"Come along Kitten, we still have places to be" Loki reminded you as she took your arm again. You watched where you were walking carefully as you made your way back toward the picnic tables. Sam and Steve set the bags down, and said they were going to get the crepes. You felt spoiled by the four of them today, they were certainly taking care of you. Bucky sat beside you and wrapped his arm around your shoulders, pulling you in. Loki looked around, but she seemed to be relaxed, and not as on guard as she was when she first arrived.
"Do you think Tony would allow me to leave the compound to see Jack?" Loki asked with slightly flushed cheeks.
"It wouldn't hurt to ask. You could always take me with you, and I'll just sit in the background" you offered.
"He seems like a sweet man," she cooed.
"You've been grounded to the compound long enough, I'm sure even Tony can see that" Bucky spoke in a hushed tone. "Besides, it's good for you, I think Jack swings both ways" he pointed out quickly.
"He does, he told me as much once" you shrugged.
"Perfect" Loki sighed happily. "I do like both forms," she admitted.
"Crepes all around" Sam and Steve came back with two trays, with utensils and napkins. They set them down with flourish and everyone took a plate to dig in.

"Any issues today?" Steve looked over at you, as you were halfway through your crepe.
"I was a little anxious earlier, but this has been nice. It feels good to be back in my routine. I'd like to do my Saturday routine soon too" you added a little hopefully.
"You'll have lots of company for that one" Bucky promised.
"Maybe take it slow for now" Sam seemed a little hesitant.
"This is good for now" you readily agreed, feeling happy with the outcome of the day. Sam nodded to himself, seeming pleased. Bucky finished his crepe and looked at Loki, hesitating before he asked. Loki looked at him and shook his head in a silent answer.
"What?" you asked.
"There's been no danger today, Kitten. Only several people are relieved to see you again" Loki answered you easily. "I do believe this is a win in Doctor Sloan's books"
"It's a win in mine too" you smiled happily, and Bucky pulled you in a little closer, giving you a kiss on the side of your head again.
"How is the pain?" Bucky whispered.
"I need more pain medication" you whispered back.
"I'll give you another backrub too" he winked at you. "Maybe a little more" he added in a hushed whisper and your face flushed at where your mind automatically went.
