Chapter 5

Seeing her a sleep I looked at nandini whose eyes were so swollen that they barely stayed open

"Nandini you know you have to talk right, how would we fix things for you if we don't know what's happening or bothering you" cabir said

"Bhai"

"Han bacha bol na kya hua mai hu na mai cab thik kar dunga tu bata toh"

She shook her head at him making him sigh

"Thank you for helping her sleep" she whispered to me

i glared at her for being so freaking stubborn, like its not that hard to tell me whats going on. Fine, I understand that I am someone she doesn't know well but what about cabir? She could talk to cabir right but no she is going to be stubborn about it.

"Manik stop it" cabir said seeing me glaring at her

"Tell her" I said

"Nandini please tell me what wrong, what happened" he asked again

"Bhai I will deal with it" she said looking down

"Hell you will, how will you deal with it huh? Like you dealt with it today, sitting on the floor with Misha crying, there is no way you are dealing with it like that" I knew my tone was harsh but seriously there is no reason to be this stubborn

"Manik" cabir siad

"No seriously man, I get that you don't know me but cabir, you know him right tell him"

"Its my problem, I will work through it" she said

"No you won't, not with Misha around"

"She is my daughter"

"She is but I am not walking into a situation where I see her crying clung to you like that ever again"

"Manik she is my daughter, it hurts me more to see her crying like that"

"Then fucking do something about it" my voice raised a bit more than before

"I tried" she whispered barely audible but I heard it

"Then fucking try harder or let me deal with it because I am not letting misha cry like that"

"Will you watch her for me?" She asks

her eyes full of fear

"Nandini"

"Please, will you watch her for me, will you take care of her for me?"

"I will" I replied

She leaned down and kissed Misha's head a few times, she gently moved Misha's hand from hers and got up

"Oh hell no, sit back down" I said

"I need to take care of stuff" she said

"No way" cabir says

"Sit down nandini" I glared at her

"Sit down" I yelled a little

She shivered a little sitting back down making me feel bad at my tone.

"Cabir take misha into your room" I said

He gave me a pleading look not to yell at her so I nodded giving misha to her which was a task since she was holding on so tight.

Once her grip loosened a little cabir took her to his room, I shut my door after he left and sat in front of nandini

"What happened?" I asked calmly this time

She looked up in my eyes as tears tickled down her cheeks

"I can't tell you"
