Chapter 19

Once we finished eating, I sat back with a couple pillows behind me and nandini laid down on my chest resting her chin on my chest looking up at me

"There are a few things I wanted to discuss" I said twirling her hair in my fingers putting it behind her ear

"Umm hmm what things" she asked

"A few very important" I said pecking her lips

"More" she asked making me smile

I leaned down and placed my lips on hers, she moved her lips with mine, I smiled in between the kiss making her smile too

"Mhmmm"

"Nandini Jaan I would love to keep kissing you but we have to talk" I said pecking her lips a couple times

"I know"

"So the first thing is that did you want a court marriage or a full on wedding" I asked

"Court marriage please"

"You sure" I asked

"Yes I don't want all the fuss, I just wanna sign papers and stuff" she said

"Very well, so we can do that in the morning"

"Yay okay great"

"Next thing is, I had reached out to your parents this morning" I said and she got off me

"Manik what the heck?"

"Relax just hear me out please"

"No, you reached out and now they know I live with you os now even you are in danger. Goddd this is why I was so stubborn a month ago. You can't go around behind my back and do this shit Manik" she said

"Breath nandini" I said trying to hold her

"Let me go, don't touch me" she said pulling back

I laid back down, I didn't want to forcefully hold her.

"I had reached out to figure out what was going on and why they neglected you and now want you back. I had max collect some dirt on them and turns out they are about to make a business deal with this one businessman and for them to do that, they wanted you to marry him so they can inherit a lot more money than they are getting from the deal"

"I don't care Manik" she said

"You were not raped that night, your mother had injected you with some substance that caused your body to react in a weird way. It made those pain endorphins rush and that's why your body was hurting. The doctor had told you that you were raped but you weren't, he did it becasue your mother payed him too"

Her eyes widened, I knew it was shocking for her just like it was for me. This is what I had been doing this morning and after we got home.

"When you left the house your parents did search for you but not hard enough. They didn't care much not until they got this deal which is why your dad keeps coming back"

She didn't say anything, she just stared at me for a while.

"Your parents aren't your real parents. Your parents passed away in an accident when you were born, they saved you but unfortunately couldn't safe your parents. So your dad's brother took you in and adopted you legally because your actual parents had a will with money in it for you which they got as soon as they adopted you"

Her head tilted a little as she closed her eyes holding her chest

"Let me hold you please" I whispered

She opened her eyes and moved her hands to me. I held her waist pulling her onto me caressing her back.

"Im sorry you have to hear this but I wanted to tell you that I had been trying to see why they would let go of you so easily"
