Lan Wangji helped Wei Wuxian the following morning. Wei Wuxian was actually a little more depressed than he was yesterday. Lan Wangji could not blame him either. Wei Wuxian was spilling every little thing about his pain and suffering, all while mourning the loss of his son. He and Lan Wangji spoke of it late last night, saying they could try for another sometime, but Wei Wuxian he wants to have some time to think on that. He is having a hard time with everything.

After getting into fresh robes, and Wei Wuxian was wearing his white mourning robes, he and Lan Wangji made their way to the main hall. Lan Wangji made sure Wei Wuxian ate something of course, but he didn't eat much. Lan Wangji didn't want to force him. So now the two were back in the center of the main hall, waiting for questions to come out.

"Since we are past the golden core, we have to ask, were the Wen Remnants you saved cultivators?" Lan Xichen asked.

"No, the only two who were, was Wen Qing and Wen Ning, but they had weaker cultivation. They focused more on medicine, their entire clan did. They were all just farmers, and elderly," Wei Wuxian answered, "so, you killed innocent people, the only reason for that is because they bared the name Wen!"

Wei Wuxian smirked when everyone in the room started to suffer from the backlash of the serum. As much as Wei Wuxian didn't want to talk about any of this, he gained satisfaction from the others suffering. It made him feel a bit better as they all made him suffer a lot worse.

"Did you cast the curse on Jin Zixun?" Jin Guangyao asked.

"No," Wei Wuxian answered and again, everyone suffered from the backlash, "and as for how he and Jin Zixuan died, there was a second flute that altered my orders. I may have the Yin Hu Fu, but someone has figured out that it doesn't answer to just me. So who ever it was who played that second flute, is the reason the Jin Sect lost their heir."

More and more did the backlash take place. Wei Wuxian was again, very clearly enjoying this. Him telling the truth was proving that he was innocent. It was proving that he never did anything wrong.

"So now I ask, did I really do anything wrong? The way I see it, you all were the ones who committed the crimes. You killed innocent Wen civilians and also murdered Lan Zhan's and Mine, Son. You all much be very proud to call yourself righteous."

Finally, the most harsh of the backlash was received to the others. They all just sat there in shock. They had their truths, and they had wronged Wei Wuxian. Lan Qiren removed the links of the serum and deactivated it.

"Wei Wuxian is innocent of all charges against him," Lan Qiren stated, "and it seems, we all who him more than just an apology."

"Even if you did more, it will not be enough for all the damage all of you cost me. The mental and physical damage, and murdering our son. I am not going to forgive any of you. If you can bring my son back, than maybe, but I know that it is impossible," Wei Wuxian said, "and as of now, I am affiliated with no sect, even though I am married to someone who is in a sect."

"Wei Ying and I have decided that we will leave Gusu. He goes, and so do I. I do not want to be in a place or around it when I know that they are involved with killing our son," Lan Wangji said and removed his forehead ribbon and Lan Sect robes, "I secede from the Gusu Lan Sect."

"Wangji?!" Lan Xichen question, "please don't go."

"No, I trusted you, Sect Leader Lan, but you are part of the reason my son is gone. You may be my brother but it is going to take a lot for me to even consider forgiving you or anyone else," Lan Wangji said pulling Wei Wuxian close to him, "ready to go?"

"We packed up everything, so I say we head out," Wei Wuxian said.

Lan Wangji hopped onto Bichen with Wei Wuxian and flew out of Cloud Recesses. The two were going to spend a lot of time just getting away from the sects, living without worrying about them and not affiliating with them. Lan Wangji already felt completely free. They had their money and they had enough to find a place to settle and hopefully find a way to keep their money as well.

This isn't the end btw, more chapters to come. But the two of them are no longer with the sects. They will live together. How will it all go? Will they find out who framed Wei Wuxian?
